Declaring Certain Crown Land to be Subject to Part I of the Maori
Land Amendment Act, 1936

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section five of the Maori Purposes Act, 1939, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the
Crown land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I
of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
All that area in the Mangonui County, situated in Block II, Takahue
Survey District, containing by admeasurement 105 acres and 17
perches, more or less, being Allotments 31 and 63, Parish of Awanui.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
M.A. 1/8/57, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Maori
Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 13th day of April, 1950.

A PROCLAMATION

Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
declare the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto to be
subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Marlborough County, situated in Block XII,
Cloudy Bay Survey District, containing by admeasurement 104
acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section 8A. (S.O. Plan 701.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of April, 1950.

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street at
Huntly

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms
part of land taken for the purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato
Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the
purposes of a street :
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
me by section 226 of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette,
become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control
of the Huntly Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the
said council in like manner as other public highways are controlled
and maintained by the said council.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 26·56 perches.
Being part Railway Land in conveyance 3687F, being part
Allotment 52, Taupiri Parish.
Situated in Block XV, Rangiriri Survey District, Borough of
Huntly. (S.O. 34464.)
In the South Auckland Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 10338, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon
coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of June, 1950.

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act, 1928, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the
land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown Land subject to
the Land Act, 1948.

Revoking a Proclamation Taking Land for Defence Purposes in the
Borough of Takapuna

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation
dated the 19th day of August, 1949, and published in New Zealand
Gazette No. 49 of the 25th day of August, 1949, at page 1749, taking
land for defence purposes in the Borough of Takapuna, such land
being no longer required.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of June, 1950.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General
Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that
the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for housing
purposes ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the 3rd day of July, 1950.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 rood.
Being part of Section 47, Hutt District, and being part of Lot 35
on D.P. 624, being the whole of the land comprised and described
in certificate of title, Volume 266, folio 126 (Wellington Land
Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of June, 1950.

housing purposes ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the 3rd day of July, 1950.
