Notice of Result of Poll

THE HAWERA BOROUGH IMPROVEMENTS LOAN, 1949, (£20,000)

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Hawera, taken on the 7th day of June, 1950, on the proposal of the Hawera Borough Council to borrow the sum of £20,000 for the purpose of improving the existing sewerage system and streets, and of providing plant, fittings, material and other requisites for servicing streets and reserves—

I therefore declare that the Proposal was carried.

Land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District Acquired as Permanent State Forest Land

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1949, as permanent State forest land.

SCHEDULE

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay County, containing by admeasurement 314 acres 1 rood 33 perches, more or less, situated in Block XIII, Maungaharuru Survey District, being part of Taupo Road Rural Section 14 (being all the land in Deposited Plan 3084, Hawke’s Bay Registry), part of Blocks 69 and 99, Puketapu Crown Grant District (being all the land bordered red on Deeds Plan 593, Hawke’s Bay Registry), and part of Sections 88 and 89, Block XIII, Maungaharuru Survey District, and being all the land contained and described in certificates of title, Volume 22, folio 175, Volume 82, folio 129 (interim), and Volume 83, folio 223 (interim), (Hawke’s Bay Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 65/7, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES

Land in the North Auckland Land District for Sale

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 19th June, 1950.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land is open for sale under the Land Act, 1948, and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, the 26th July, 1950.

Applicants may be required by the Commissioner of Crown Lands, acting on behalf of the Land Settlement Board, to appear personally, at a time and place to be arranged, in support of their applications.

The ballot will be held on Tuesday, the 1st August, 1950, at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, at 11 o’clock a.m., and any persons who so wish may attend.

The successful applicant is required to pay immediately on notification of result, the full purchase price, or a deposit of £30 and the balance within one month, and title fee.

SCHEDULE

WHANGAREI COUNTY.—WHANGAREI SURVEY DISTRICT.—PUHIPUHI MINING DISTRICT

Lot 16, D.P. 35764, being part of Kopipi Block, situated in Block IV, Whangarei Survey District: Area, 1 rood 00·8 perches. Purchase-price, £155.

Situated in Kopipi Street, at Ngunguru, 7 chains from river and about 16 miles north-west from Whangarei. Suitable for beach or holiday accommodation. Services available include electric-power, telephone, daily parcel, mail and passenger service to and from Whangarei (Monday to Saturday).

Priority will be given to applications from ex-servicemen of World War II or the wives or widows of such ex-servicemen requiring the site for a permanent home.

This land is offered subject to a restriction that no buildings or hoardings may be erected within 8 feet of the road boundary. In addition, no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the purchaser whose title will be for the surface soil only.
