The Standards Act, 1941.—Amendment of Standard Specifications

NOTICE is hereby given that, on the dates stated in the first column hereunder, the undermentioned standard specifications were amended by the Minister of Industries and Commerce by the incorporation of the amendments shown hereunder:—

Applications for copies of the standard specifications so amended should be made to the New Zealand Standards Institute, Hamilton Chambers, 201 Lambton Quay, Wellington C.1. Copies of the amendments will be supplied free of charge to all purchasers of the standard specification.

Government Service Tribunal.—Principal Order No. 17

In the matter of sections 8 and 14 of the Government Service Tribunal Act, 1948, and in the matter of an application for a principal order dated the 6th day of March, 1950, and duly lodged by the Chairman of the Public Service Commission on the 8th day of March, 1950.

The Government Service Tribunal, having considered the application of the applicant, and the statement lodged jointly by the applicant and the New Zealand Public Service Association (Inc.), as respondent, doth hereby order:—

MILEAGE ALLOWANCES

  1. On and from the 1st day of February, 1950, mileage allowances payable to employees shall be paid at the following rates:—
Miles per Annum. Small Car, Up to and Including 9·5 h.p. d. Medium Car, 9·6 to 14·5 h.p. Inclusive. d. Large Car, 14·6 h.p. and Over. d.
Up to 1,000 ..
1,001 to 2,000 ..
2,001 to 3,000 .. 5
3,001 to 4,000 ..
4,001 to 6,000 .. 5 6
Over 6,000 ..
Additional mileage rate where passengers in excess of two are carried .. 1 1 1

(R.A.C. rating is to be used.)

Motor-cycles

Up to 4,000 miles per annum .. | 2¾d. per mile.
Over 4,000 miles per annum .. | 2½d. per mile.

  1. On and from the 1st day of April, 1950, the following rates shall be substituted for those prescribed in the preceding paragraph:—
Miles per Annum. Small Car, Up to and Including 9·5 h.p. d. Medium Car, 9·6 to 14·5 h.p. Inclusive. d. Large Car, 14·6 h.p. and Over. d.

  1. This order shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of February, 1950.
