Classification of Roads in the Borough of Kaitaia

PURSUANT to regulation 3 (5) of the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1950, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve the Kaitaia Borough Council’s proposed classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Borough of Kaitaia.

Submarine Telephone Cable to be Delineated on Charts
Position: Commencing lat. 46° 52′·5 S.; long. 168° 08′ E. (approx.). Chart No. 2553.
Details: A submarine cable was laid across Foveaux Strait in June, 1945, and the route of the cable as follows is to be recorded on charts affected. Commencing at a position in Lee Bay (Stewart Island), 320° 2·4 miles from Akers Point Light and trending 004° for 21·8 miles thence 068° to the shore.
