PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, hereby revokes Price Orders Nos. 561,* 717,† and 808‡ relating to Symington’s Essence of Coffee and Chicory.

Exempted Goods (Control of Prices) Notice 1950, No. 9
PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, hereby revokes every Price Order and every approval given under section 16 of the Control of Prices Act, 1947, so far as any such Price Order or approval relates to the sale of organic fertilizer, or meat-meal.

The provisions of clause 1 hereof shall be deemed to come into force prior to the coming into force of the exemption referred to in clause 3 hereof.

Pursuant to section 18 of the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal hereby gives notice that organic fertilizer and meat-meal are exempt from the provisions of Part III of the Control of Prices Act, 1947.

In this notice the term “organic fertilizer” means any organic substance or combination of organic substances sold or offered for sale as a fertilizer, but does not include any combination of organic and inorganic substances.

Notice to Persons Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Pharmacy Industry
Bruce Gow Meikle, 166 Shaw Avenue, New Brighton, Christchurch, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy in Main Street, Stoke.
Alan George Meredith, 22 Hill Road, Manurewa, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy in Great South Road, Manurewa.
Frank Gordon Macklow, The Strand, Whakatane, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at The Strand (opposite site of new post-office), Whakatane.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
Reginald C. Horne, Alfred Street, Rangiora, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirits from one pump to be installed inside garage premises at the above address.
R. A. Duley, Marine Parade, Wairoa, has applied for a transfer to himself of a licence held by M. B. Svensen, Ltd, which authorizes the sale of motor-spirits from two pumps situated on premises in River Parade, Wairoa.
A. I. Cowdrey and V. Miller, Main Road, Kakariki, have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirits from one pump to be installed on store premises situated at the foregoing address.
Arthur S. Blackledge, 12 Stewart Street, Marton, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirits from one pump to be installed on garage and service-station premises at the above address.
Mervyn Weatherley, William Street, Paeroa, has applied for permission to move one petrol pump from its present position in William Street, to a new site in Wharfe Street.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 15th June, 1950, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to the Secretary, Bureau of Industry, P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
