THE following notices, received by the Right Hon. the Minister of Finance from the Mayor of the City of Wellington, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

Special Loan, for Paving Streets, Purchasing Paving Plant, and Erecting an Administrative Building and Public Conveniences, of £383,450

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the City of Wellington, taken on the 4th day of May, 1950, on the proposal of the Wellington City Council to borrow the sum of £383,450 for the purpose of paving streets, purchasing paving plant, and erecting an administrative building and public conveniences--

Votes.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 4,116 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1,907

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
