At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of May, 1950
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 7 of the Maori Purposes Act, 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby confer upon the Awarua Tribal Committee all of the powers conferred upon a Tribal Executive by the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945, including the power to make by-laws, notwithstanding the provisions of section 19 or section 20 of that Act.
