Leasehold Estates in Land in Block XIV, Clifford Bay Survey District, and Block II, Cape Campbell Survey District, Taken for the Purposes of a Road

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand do hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estates described in the First Schedule hereto in the pieces of land described in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of May, 1950.

FIRST SCHEDULE

LEASEHOLD estates taken:—

First, the leasehold estate of Patrick Augustine Casey, of Seddon, Farmer, in the piece of land first described in the said Second Schedule:

Secondly, the leasehold estate of Honora Mary Casey, wife of Patrick Augustine Casey, of Seddon, Farmer, in the pieces of land secondly and thirdly described in the said Second Schedule:

And thirdly, the leasehold estate of Flora Gluyas, of Grassmere, Widow, in the pieces of land fourthly, fifthly, sixthly, and seventhly described in the said Second Schedule:

Which said leasehold estates are separately held from His Majesty the King under and by virtue of leases in perpetuity respectively numbered 44, 136, and 396, and respectively registered and recorded in the Land Registry Office, at Blenheim, as Volume 7, folio 72, Volume 7, folio 203, and Volume 11, folio 149, Marlborough Land Registry.

SECOND SCHEDULE

In the Marlborough Land District: as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 131324, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of May, 1950.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 4 acres 2 roods 24 perches.

Situate in the Borough of Hastings, being part of the Heretaunga Block, and being Lot 160, Block IX, D.P. 362, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, H.B. Volume 42, folio 171 (Hawke's Bay Land Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of May, 1950.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 4 acres 3 roods 25·4 perches.

Being Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 on D.P. No.130, being part Section 6, District of Omaka, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 39, folio 239 (Marlborough Land Registry).
