Government Service Tribunal.—Amending Order No. 16
In the matter of section 9 of the Government Service Tribunal Act, 1948,
and in the matter of an application for an amending order dated the
19th day of April, 1950, and duly lodged by the Chairman of the Public
Service Commission.
THE Government Service Tribunal, having heard and considered the appli-
cation of the applicant, hereby orders that Principal Order No. 8 shall be
amended as shown below—
- By deleting items (a) and (b) of subclause 9·01.
- By deleting subclause 8·06 and replacing with the following :—

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1949, as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Kaitieke County, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, situated in Block XVI, Kaitieke Survey District, being Section 1, Block II, Waimarino Township, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 529, folio 68 (Wellington Land Registry). As the same is delineated on plan No. 62/51, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Land in the Otago Land District for Sale or Lease
District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 8th May, 1950
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land is open for sale or lease under the Land Act, 1948, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 3rd July, 1950.
Applicants may be required by the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Dunedin, acting on behalf of the Land Settlement Board, to appear personally in support of their applications at a time and place to be advised.
The ballot will be held at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, at 2 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 5th July, 1950, and persons who so wish may attend.
The successful applicant is required to pay, immediately on notification of result of ballot, a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent or deposit on deferred payments, broken period rent, and lease fee, or the purchase-price of the property plus title fee.
SCHEDULE
TOWN OF WANAKA, LAKE COUNTY
SECTION 64 Block IX : Area 39·7 perches. Rental value or purchase-price, £150. Deposit on deferred payments, £25. Deferred payments : Half-yearly instalment (term : ten years), £7 17s. 6d : Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent (term : thirty-three years), £3 7s. 6d.
This section is situated in a commercial zone and is suitable for a shop and residence site. It fronts a tar-sealed road opposite Wanaka Post-office, and is offered with a preference for applicants who produce satisfactory evidence of their intention to build a combined shop and residence on the land. Ex-servicemen in this category will receive preference over civilians.
