(d) Latitude and longitude of gun-position : 43° 35′·5 S., 172° 49′ E. (approx.).
(e) Form of shoot : Coast artillery.
(f) Direction in which firing will take place : 025°–085°.
(g) Range in miles : 14 miles.
(h) Maximum height of trajectory in feet : 24,270 ft.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Loan

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Motueka, taken on the 19th day of April, 1950, on the proposal of the Motueka Borough Council to borrow the sum of £64,550 for the purpose of installing a sewerage and drainage system—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was . . 107
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was . . 156

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

Exempted Goods (Control of Prices) Notice 1950, No. 7

SUBJECT to the provisions of clause 4 hereof the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, hereby revokes every Price Order and every approval given under section 16 of the Control of Prices Act, 1947, so far as any such Price Order or approval relates to the sale of meals, sandwiches, small cakes, pastries, or pies.

  1. The provisions of clause 1 hereof shall be deemed to come into force prior to the coming into force of the exemption referred to in clause 3 hereof.

  2. Pursuant to section 18 of the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal hereby gives notice that meals, sandwiches, small cakes, pastries, and pies are exempt from the provisions of Part III of the Control of Prices Act, 1947.

  3. For the purposes of this notice “meal” means any meal, or portion of a meal, for which a charge is made, but does not include a meal served in an hotel within the meaning of Price Order No. 1000.*

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order :—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1154; and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 1150* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 11th day of May, 1950.

  3. The principal Order is hereby amended, by inserting after the word “flour”, wherever it appears, the words “or wheat meal”.
