Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street at Otorohanga

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street :
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Otorohanga Town Board, and shall be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 11Β·17 perches.
Being portion of railway land in Gazette No. 29 of 1886, page 596.
Situated in Block IV, Orahiri Survey District, Otorohanga Town District. (S.O. 28496.)
In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 4151, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of March, 1950.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the development of water-power (Lichfield Substation).

Land Taken for Housing Purposes in the Borough of Cambridge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for housing purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eleventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifty.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 acre.
Being Allotment 257, Town of Cambridge East, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 121, folio 148 (Auckland Land Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of April, 1950.
