THE HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the Maori Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to and acquisition by George Syme and Company, Limited, by way of lease of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto or any portion thereof, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XII of the said Act.

SCHEDULE
FIRST, all that piece of land containing 32 acres 1 rood 19 perches, more or less, situate in Block III, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, called or known as Allotment 53B, Parish of Matata, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Partition Order of the Maori Land Court bearing date the 20th day of November, 1929.
Secondly, all that piece of land containing 1 acre 3 roods 12 perches, situate in Block III, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, called or known as Allotments 207 and 208, Parish of Matata, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 485, folio 117 (Auckland Registry).

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Elgin Road in the City of Dunedin, of a Width Less Than 66 ft., but not Less Than 40 ft., Subject to a Condition as to the Building-lines

PURSUANT to section thirty-one of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1948, and section one hundred and twenty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Dunedin City Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 feet, but not less than 40 feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on that part of Lot 4, Block V, D.P. 140, Township of Rockyside, containing two perches, fronting the proposed street (as shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 130328 referred to in the said Schedule), or on Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 of a subdivision of the land (as shown on the said plan marked P.W.D. 130328) fronting the proposed street within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said street, or on Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, of a subdivision of the land (as shown on the said plan marked P.W.D. 130328) fronting the proposed street within a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of the said street.

THAT proposed street in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 31 perches, more or less, being part Lot 27, D.P. 573, Township of Glencoe, being part Section 31, and part Lot 4, Block V, D.P. 140, Township of Rockyside, being part Section 30, Block VI, Town District.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130328, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Parnassus Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 4833)

THE HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, and to section twenty-nine of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture, made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—
(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the Parnassus Rabbit District by adding thereto the area of land the boundaries of which are described in the First Schedule hereto;
(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district as so altered and redefined shall be those set forth in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF THE AREA TO BE ADDED TO THE PARNASSUS RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the County of Cheviot of the Canterbury Land District, containing 1,200 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northern boundary of the Parnassus Rabbit District on the sea-coast; thence proceeding north-westerly generally along the northern boundary of the said Parnassus Rabbit District (being the right bank of the Conway River) to the right bank of the Gelt River in Block I, Hawkwood Survey District; thence to and along the centre of the main stream of the said Conway River in a south-easterly direction generally to the sea-coast; thence south-westerly along the sea-coast to the boundary of the Parnassus Rabbit District, the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF THE PARNASSUS RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Counties of Amuri and Cheviot of the Canterbury Land District, containing 103,700 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the centre of the main stream of the Conway River opposite the Gelt River in Block I, Hawkwood Survey District; thence proceeding in a south-westerly direction to and along the right bank of the Gelt River aforesaid to the easternmost corner of Lot 3, D.P. 2884; thence south-westerly generally along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 3, D.P. 2884, the north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 2884, and the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2884, to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence across and easterly along the left bank of the Gelt River to the easternmost corner of Section 16, Square 80, Block IV, Waiau Survey District; thence north-westerly and westerly along the north-eastern and northern boundaries of that section; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Section 15, Square 80, to its north-western corner; thence north-westerly along the fence-line bisecting the southern portion of Section (part) 48, Square 80 (the same being the northern boundary of the Mendip Hills Estate), to and across a road to the easternmost corner of Section 4, Annan Settlement; thence south-westerly generally along the eastern and southern boundaries of that section, the eastern boundaries of Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, and 14, Annan Settlement, to the stock reserve on the Stanton River; thence along the old rabbit-fence to the Stanton River, back in a northerly direction to the eastern boundary of Section 14; thence along same in a south-westerly and south-easterly direction to the centre of the main stream of the Waiau River; thence south-easterly generally along the centre of the main stream of that river to the sea; thence northerly by the sea to its junction with the centre of the main stream of the Conway River; thence generally in a north-westerly direction along the centre of the main stream of the Conway River to a point opposite the Gelt River, the place of commencement.

Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Wairau Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 4834)

THE HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any rabbit district, may, by Order in Council, alter and redefine the boundaries of its district:
And whereas the district known as the Wairau Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the said Act:
And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area therein:
And whereas the consent of a majority of the persons in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers’ list for the said district has been given to the inclusion of such additional area in the said district:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—
(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid;
(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,
(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.

BOUNDARIES OF THE WAIRAU RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area of land in the Marlborough Land District containing approximately 96,600 acres and bounded as follows: Commencing at the south bank of the Wairau River at the north-eastern corner of Section 13s, Erina Settlement in Block II, Avon Survey District: thence northerly to the middle of the Wairau River; thence south-westerly by the middle of that river to a point in line with the east bank of the Branch River; thence southerly to the east bank of the
