HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased, in pursuance of section 49 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, to make the following appointments:—
Reginald Hudson Baker, and
John Derk Parsons
to be members of the Waiau Domain Board in place of Charles Anderson Forbes and Charles Higgins, resigned.
Arthur Cook, and
Merrett Wesley Moss
to be members of the Pine Island Domain Board in place of Charles Andrews and Alfred James Veart, resigned.
Harold Andrew Snaddon
to be a member of the Whetukura Domain Board in place of Ernest John Berkahn, left the district.

The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1946.—Notice Fixing Prices of Certain Grades

PURSUANT to Regulations 19 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1946, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.
Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 1st March to 31st March, 1950:—

Notice Respecting Proposed Dissolution of the Manawatu-Oroua River Board
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 24th February, 1950.
IT is hereby notified that the Manawatu Catchment Board has presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor-General under the River Boards Act, 1908, and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, as amended by the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act, 1946, praying that the Manawatu-Oroua River Board be dissolved and that the powers and functions thereof be transferred to the Manawatu Catchment Board. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the aforesaid proposal which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block XXI, Kaweka Survey District, and Block XIII, Pohue Survey District, for the Purposes of a State Forest
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a State forest: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Puketitiri and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land, should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 210 acres.
Being Block 131, Patoka Crown Grant District.
Situated in Block XXI, Kaweka Survey District, and Block XIII, Pohue Survey District.
In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130757, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Special Arrangements for the Provision of Medical and Pharmaceutical Services for the Residents of Tokanui Special Area

I, JACK THOMAS WATTS, Minister of Health, hereby notify for general information that, pursuant to section 82 of the Social Security Act, 1938, as amended by section 12 (1) of the Social Security Amendment Act, 1941, and section 20 of the Social Security Amendment Act, 1947, I have made special arrangements by which all persons usually resident in the district described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as the said district) are, on and after 23rd day of January, 1950, entitled to receive without charge, at the hands of Edmund Bede Jenner, of Tokanui, Registered Medical Practitioner, or such other registered medical practitioner as may be at any time appointed for the purpose, all such medical and pharmaceutical requirements as are provided as benefits in accordance with the Social Security (Medical Benefits) Regulations 1941, the Social Security (General Medical Services) Regulations 1941, and the Social Security (Pharmaceutical Supplies) Regulations 1941.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Southland and Otago Land Districts, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast due south of Trig. Station L in Block XIV, Oteramika Hundred; thence due north to the said Trig, Station L; thence north-westerly along a right line to the south-western corner of Section 7, Block IX, Oteramika Hundred; thence northerly along the western boundary of the said section 7 and its production across the railway line to the southern side of the roadway forming the northern boundaries of Sections 54, 49, 50, Block VII, Oteramika Hundred; thence easterly along the southern side of the said roadway to its intersection with the south-western side of Gorge Road; thence easterly along a right line to Trig. Station D in Section 5, Block I, Toetoes Survey District, a right line to Trig. Station R. on the northern boundary of Block III, Toetoes Survey District, and a right line to Trig. Station M on the northern boundary of Block X, Mokoreta Survey District; thence south-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station FF in Block XI, Mokoreta Survey District, and a right line to Trig. Station C, Tautuku Survey District; thence due south to the sea-coast; thence westerly generally along the sea-coast to a point due south of Trig. Station L, the point of commencement.

ADDENDUM, February, 1950, to the New Zealand Formulary:—
NEW ZEALAND FORMULARY, Part 2
The reference in this part of the New Zealand Formulary to the First Schedule to the Rules of Prescription Pricing shall, where applicable, be deemed to be to the Prescription Pricing Supplement 1950/1A, issued by the Pharmacy Plan Industrial Committee. This amendment shall take effect with respect to all medical prescriptions and midwifery orders (whatever the date thereof) that are presented to a contractor for fulfilment on or after the 1st March, 1950.
