NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in the minute-book of the above-named company made pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, and dated 8th December, 1949, the following special resolution was passed :—

“That the directors, having filed pursuant to section 226 of the Companies Act, 1933, a declaration of solvency for the purposes of a members’ voluntary winding-up, the company be wound up voluntarily and that WILLIAM BISS GRIFFIN, of Nelson, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator.”

GOLDEN BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Loan 1949, £6,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Golden Bay Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000, authorized to be raised by the Golden Bay Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for reticulation extensions and improvements, the said Golden Bay Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Golden Bay Electric-power Board District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Golden Bay Electric-power Board at a duly constituted meeting held on the 10th November, 1949.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, The Northern Hawke’s Bay Rabbit Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, principal, and other charges on a loan of £3,000, known as the ‘Employees Accommodation Loan, 1949,’ authorized to be raised by the Northern Hawke’s Bay Rabbit Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing land and buildings and/or erecting buildings for the accommodation of employees of the Board, the said Northern Hawke’s Bay Rabbit Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fourth of a penny (¼d.) per acre on all rateable lands within the Board’s district, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF A SCHEME OF DEVELOPMENT AND RECONSTRUCTION IN THE BOROUGH OF GISBORNE

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 29 of the Finance Act (No. 3), 1944, the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Gisborne hereinafter called the Council hereby gives notice of the nature of the works to be included in the comprehensive public work or scheme of development or reconstruction described in the First Schedule hereto, and that the approximate boundaries of the area affected thereby are as described in the Second Schedule hereto, such area being hereinafter referred to as the area. This notice shall remain in force until the 31st day of March, 1955.

Nature of Works

THE improvement and subdivision of the lands and the development of the area for public, municipal, industrial, commercial, residential, utilitarian, recreational, beautification, social, civic, cultural, town-planning, and such other purposes as are within the powers of the said Council, including all such works as are ancillary and incidental to such purposes.

SECOND SCHEDULE
Description of Area Affected

ALL that land in the Borough of Gisborne, being Gisborne Town Sections numbered 64 and 82, and Sections numbered 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, and 111 of Waikanae 1B, as the same is delineated on plans deposited at the office of the Registrar of Lands at Gisborne.
