Lands in the Hawke’s Bay Land District for Sale or Lease

District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, 22nd November, 1949.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease under the Land Act, 1948, and applications from persons who do not already possess a beach section will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 25th January, 1950.

Applicants may be required by the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Napier, acting on behalf of the Land Settlement Board, to appear personally at a place and time to be arranged, in support of their applications.

The ballot will be held on Wednesday, 8th February, 1950, at the District Lands and Survey Office at 2 o’clock p.m. and any persons who so wish may attend.

The successful applicants are required to pay immediately on notification of result, a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent or deposit on deferred payments, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

MAHIA TOWNSHIP, MAHANGA SURVEY DISTRICT, WAIROA COUNTY

Mahia Township is situated about thirty miles from Wairoa and is a very popular locality for camping as well as a desirable spot for seaside homes.

Preference will be given to applicants who produce conclusive evidence of their intention to build immediately a permanent residence.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land is open for sale or lease under the Land Act, 1948, and applications will be received at the South Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Thursday, 12th January, 1950.

Applicants may be required by the Commissioner of Crown Lands, acting on behalf of the Land Settlement Board, to appear personally at a place and time to be arranged, in support of their applications.

The ballot will be held on Monday, 16th January, 1950, at the South Auckland District Lands and Survey Office at 1.30 o’clock p.m., and any persons who so wish may attend.

The successful applicant is required to pay immediately on notification of result, a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent or deposit on deferred payments, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

PAEROA TOWNSHIP.—PAEROA BOROUGH

SECTION 22 Block, IV: Area, 12 perches. Rental value or purchase-price, £50. Deposit on deferred payments, £5: Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments (term ten years), £2 16s. 9d. Renewable lease (term thirty-three years): Half-yearly rent, £1 2s. 6d.

Section is weighted with £5 for improvements comprising fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

The area is a flat section situated on the corner of Thorpe and Willoughby Streets, and is not regarded by the local authority as suitable for a commercial building.

Special Conditions

Preference will be given to applications submitted by ex-servicemen of World War II and the wives or widows of such ex-servicemen.

Land in the Nelson Land District Acquired for a Permanent State Forest

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1921–22, for the purposes of a permanent State forest.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY

ALL those areas in the Nelson Land District, Waimea County, containing by admeasurement 964 acres 2 roods 33 perches, more or less, and described as follows:—

All that area containing by admeasurement 685 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Sections 2, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27, Block XIV, Wai-iti Survey District, and being all the land comprised and described in certificates of title, Vol. 19, folio 69, Vol. 20, folio 156, and Vol. 51, folio 269 (Nelson Registry).

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 279 acres 1 rood 33 perches, more or less, being Sections 4 and 5, Block XV, Wai-iti Survey District and Section 76 of Square 4, situated in Block XV aforesaid, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 24, folios 51 and 266 (Nelson Registry).

As the same are delineated on plan No. 102/26, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Nelson plans S.O. 2973, S.O. 3189, S.O. 3560, and S.O. 5801.)
