HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
The member of the Buller County Council representing the Wareatea South Riding, ex officio,
William Francis Dickson,
John Edward Beable Fox,
Walter Francis Hopgood,
Robert Allan Lucas,
Christen Roderick Menzies,
Clifford Winton Newman,
Lawrence Michael O’Neill, and
Charles Richard Walsh
to be the Omau Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Public Hall, Cape Foulwind, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Licensing McCallum Bros., Ltd., to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land Below Low-water Mark at Pakihi Island, Tamaki Strait, as a Site for a Loading Jetty, Flume, and Ramp

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of November, 1949
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby license and permit McCallum Bros., Ltd., of Auckland (hereinafter called the company), which term shall include its successors and assigns, unless the context requires a different construction, to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Pakihi Island, Tamaki Strait, as shown on plan marked M.D. 8903, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining a loading jetty, flume, and ramp thereon, as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the company upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

THIS licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

The term of licence shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of November, 1949.

The premium payable by the company shall be two pounds ten shillings (£2 10s.), and the annual sum so payable by the company shall be two pounds (£2).
-
The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said jetty shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above high-water mark or at such place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section five of the Maori Purposes Act, 1937, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart and reserve the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the common use of the Ngatitoro, Te Popoto, and Ngatikorohue hapus, and also all other Maoris resident in the district, as a marae.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
