A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section twenty-nine of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of street described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of street closed: 32 perches. Adjoining Sections 575, 576, and 1151 (Cemetery Reserves), Town of Picton.
Situated in Block XII, Linkwater Survey District (Borough of Picton) (Marlborough R.D.). (S.O. 3908.)
In the Marlborough Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 128087, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of February, 1949.

Authorizing the Laying-off of an Extension of Tawa Street, in the Borough of Hastings, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of February, 1949

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section thirty-one of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1948, and section one hundred and twenty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Hastings Borough Council to lay off the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for a part of its length of less than sixty-six feet, but not less than fifty feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the balance of Lot 2 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Napier as No. 5037, within a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Borough of Hastings, being an extension of Tawa Street, containing by admeasurement 35·30 perches, more or less, being part Lot 62 on Deposited Plan No. 7622, and Lot 1 and part Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 5037, being parts of the Heretaunga Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 128354, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to section forty-one of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1945, and of all other powers him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by the Proprietors of Puketapu 3A Block (Incorporated), of the land described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the County of Taumarunui, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods and 10 perches, more or less, being Section 26 of Block XIII, Tuhua Survey District. PURSUANT to section forty-one of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1945, and of all other powers him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by Archibald Patrick Alexander McCaughan, of Kingston, Runholder, of the land described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.

PURSUANT to section forty of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to and acquisition by Ernest Gowans Butters and Walter James Butters, of Fairlie, Farmers, of the land described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of section one hundred and seven of the Land Act, 1924.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, and to section twenty-nine of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture, made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby constitute and declare the area of land, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto, being an area to which subsection one of section thirty of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, applies, a rabbit district, and doth appoint that the name of the said rabbit district shall be the Ashburton Gorge Rabbit District, and doth order that the basis on which the Rabbit Board to be established for the said district shall first levy its general rate shall be the acreage of land occupied by the ratepayer.
