Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work, and not Required
for That Purpose, to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section thirty-five of the Public Works Act,
1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land
subject to the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land :
33·99 perches.
Being Lot 1, D.P. 7192, and being part Suburban Section 171,
Town of Palmerston North.

Situated in Block XI, Kairanga Survey District (City of
Palmerston North).

In the Wellington Land District ; as the same is more particu-
larly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 127040, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged
red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of January, 1949.

Leasehold Estate in Land Taken for a Recreation-ground in the City
of Auckland

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Schedule hereto,
held from His Majesty the King by William Frederick Becker, of
Remuera, Linesman, under and by virtue of Memorandum of Lease
No. 10342, Auckland Registry, is hereby taken for a recreation-
ground and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the
City of Auckland as from the date hereinafter mentioned ; and I
do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after
the fourteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-nine.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the
leasehold estate is taken : 2 roods 15·6 perches.
Being Allotment 216 of Section 16, Suburbs of Auckland, and being
the whole of the land comprised and described in Leasehold
Certificate of Title, Volume 832, folio 266, Auckland Land
Registry, excepting thereout all coal-mines, veins, and seams of
coal, and all other mines, metals, and minerals whatsoever, and
all quarries of stone and gravel.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 3rd day of February, 1949.

and XIV, Tekapo Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
the development of water-power.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 273 acres 3 roods
8 perches.
Being Rural Section 33803 and Lot 2, D.P. 9260, part of Reserve
2014, Block XIII, Tekapo Survey District, and Rural Section
37198, Block XIV, Tekapo Survey District, and being all the
land comprised in Certificates of Title, Volume 417, folio 79, and
Volume 420, folio 261 (Canterbury Land Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of February, 1949.
