His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart and reserve the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a burial-ground for the common use of the Ngatikura sub-tribe.

Appointment of Warden Under Mining Act, 1926

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Mining Act, 1926, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
Ernest Albert Lee, Esquire,
to be a Warden, to hold and exercise the duties of such office under and subject to the provisions of the said Act during pleasure on and from the seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 2nd day of November, 1949.

Exempting Land in the Westland Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal-mines Act, 1925

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection two of section one hundred and seventy-one of the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be exempt from the operation of Part III of the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Westland Land District containing 37 perches, more or less, being Section 2, Block XLIV, Runanga Village Settlement, situated in the Borough of Runanga. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked N. 6/4/17, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Mines at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 1st day of November, 1949.
