Altering the Boundaries of the Wairarapa Electric-power District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the Wairarapa Electric-power District so as to include the area described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Featherston County bounded by a line commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 5, Block XII, Huararua Survey District (Mahupuku Settlement), and proceeding thence in a southerly direction by the eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 3296, Lot 1, D.P. 9227, and Lot 5, D.P. 3297, all being portions of Tahuroa Block; thence in a westerly and north-westerly direction by the southern and south-western boundaries of the aforesaid Lot 5, and the south-western and southern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 3296, to the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block XII, Huararua Survey District (Tablelands Settlement); thence in a southerly direction by the eastern boundaries of Section 4 aforesaid and Sections 8 and 9, Block XVI, Huararua Survey District (Tablelands Settlement) to the Pahaoa Road; thence in a westerly direction by the northern side of that road to a point, being the production of the eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 3648, being part of Ngawaka-a-Kupe 2D Block; thence in a southerly direction to and along the eastern boundary of Lot 3 aforesaid, and by the eastern and southern boundaries of Ngawaka-a-Kupe 2D 1 and 2E Blocks; thence in a north-westerly direction by the south-western boundaries of the Ngawaka-a-Kupe 2E and 2B Blocks to the Huararua River; thence in a northerly direction generally by that river to its confluence with the Wangaehu River; thence in a south-easterly and north-easterly direction by the Wangaehu River to the southern boundary of Section 1, Block XII, Huararua Survey District (Mahupuku Settlement); thence in an easterly direction by the southern boundary of the said Section 1, across the Wangaehu Valley Road, and again by the southern boundaries of the said Section 1 and of Section 5, Block XII, Huararua Survey District (Mahupuku settlement), to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section, being the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 94, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department, and thereon outlined in blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of November, 1949.

Land Taken for the Purpose of a Street in the City of Dunedin

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of a street and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Dunedin as from the date hereinafter mentioned, and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.


SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 4 perches.
Being part Lot 17, D.P. 252, being part Section 1.

Situated in Block IV, Upper Kaikorai Survey District. (Otago R.D.). (S.O. 9758.)

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130183, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of November, 1949.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 acre 1 rood 14·5 perches.
Being part of the land granted to the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, by grant dated 20th July, 1876.

In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130229, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.
