A PROCLAMATION
To the LEGISLATIVE COUNCILLORS of the DOMINION OF NEW ZEALAND, and the MEMBERS of
PARLIAMENT elected to serve in the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES of the said Dominion,
and to all whom it may concern: GREETING.
WHEREAS I have thought fit to dissolve the General Assembly of New Zealand, which stands
prorogued to the twenty-third day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-
nine: NOW KNOW YE that I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do for that end publish this Proclamation, and do hereby dissolve
the said General Assembly accordingly as from the date hereof; and the said Legislative Councillors,
and the said Members of Parliament elected to serve in the House of Representatives, are
accordingly discharged from their meeting and attendance on the said twenty-third day of
November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day
of November, 1949.
