Manufacture of Rubber Tires and Tubes

Rubber Reclaim, Ltd., 173 Cashel Street, Christchurch, has applied for a licence to manufacture cycle tires and tubes.

Pharmacy Industry

J. R. Bradburn, 245 Kamo Road, Whangarei, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at the corner of Whau Valley and Kamo Roads, Whangarei.

L. N. Sutton, 30 Mount Albert Road, Auckland, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at 103 Kamo Road, Whangarei.

A. A. Boyd, P.O. Box 14, Tuakau, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at Great South Road, Pokeno.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

M. H. G. Deed, Puni, R.D. Pukekohe, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on garage premises at Puni, R.D. Pukekohe.

Palm Beach Transport Co. Ltd., Waiheke Island, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at Palm Beach, Waiheke Island, and otherwise than through pumps from the same premises.

F. A. Parker, Clarke Road, Papakura, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at Clarke Road, Papakura.

Kadar Mie, Mourea, via Rotorua, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on store premises at Mourea, via Rotorua.

R. H. Thompson, Paroa, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on store premises at Main South Road, Paroa.

G. A. Hancox jun., Taipa Motor Camp and Store, R.D. Mangonui, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on Taipa Motor Camp, R.D. Mangonui.

Westmere Co-operative Dairy Co. Ltd., P.O. Box 446, Wanganui, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on factory premises at Westmere.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 3rd November, 1949, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Appointment of Customs Aerodrome

I, GUY RICHARDSON POWLES, High Commissioner of Western Samoa, in exercise of the powers vested in me by clause 4 of the Western Samoa Customs (Aircraft) Regulations 1949, do by this Warrant appoint as a Customs Aerodrome that area known as Faleolo Aerodrome situated in the District of A’ana on the Island of Upolu, Western Samoa, and bounded on the north by the sea and on the east, south, and west by the other portion of the Defence Reserve now used and occupied as a plantation by the New Zealand Reparation Estates, and do likewise appoint the building known as the Immigration Hut situated near the eastern end of the formed runway to be the Examination Station at the said aerodrome.

Dated Apia, Western Samoa, this 21st day of September, 1949.

Appointment of Customs Aerodrome

I, WILLIAM TAILBY, the Resident Commissioner at Rarotonga, in exercise of the powers vested in me by clause 3 of the Cook Islands Customs (Aircraft) Regulations 1949, do by this Warrant appoint as a Customs Aerodrome that area known as Aitutaki Aerodrome situated in the District of Vaitupa on the Island of Aitutaki and having boundary lines as delineated on Plan No. 47, deposited in the office of the High Court of the Cook Islands at Rarotonga, and do likewise appoint the building known as the Customs Shed and situated in the north-west angle formed by the intersection of the two strips to be the Examination Station at the said aerodrome.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Cook Islands at Rarotonga this 5th day of October, 1949.

I, WILLIAM TAILBY, the Resident Commissioner at Rarotonga, in exercise of the powers vested in me by clause 3 of the Cook Islands Customs (Aircraft) Regulations 1949, do by this Warrant appoint as a Customs Aerodrome that area known as Rarotonga Aerodrome situated in the District of Avarua on the Island of Rarotonga and having boundary lines as delineated on Plan No. 43, deposited in the office of the High Court of the Cook Islands at Rarotonga, and do likewise appoint the building known as the Customs Shed and situated on the northern edge of the strip in the buildings area as delineated on the aforesaid plan to be the Examination Station at the said aerodrome.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Cook Islands at Rarotonga this 5th day of October, 1949.
