Notice of Intention to Take Land in the Borough of Mount Roskill for Housing Purposes NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Mount Roskill and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

PURSUANT to Regulation 19 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1946, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3 IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE SITUATED within Hauraki Plains County- All that area at Ngatea consisting of those portions of roads hereinafter described :- (1) Pokeno-Paeroa State Highway No. 14, commencing at the Piako River Bridge and terminating at a point 14 chains measured along the said State highway in a north-westerly direction from its junction with Orchard West Road. (2) Ngatea-Waharoa, via Morrisville, Main Highway No. 447, commencing from its junction with the Pokeno-Paeroa State Highway No. 14, and terminating at a point 16 chains measured along the said main highway in a south-easterly direction from the said junction.

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.-Notice Declaring Land Taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies : And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman : And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 24th day of August, 1949, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court : And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty's Forces or in any British ship : Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 28th day of October, 1949, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT ALL that parcel of land situated in Block VII, Awhitu Survey District, containing by admeasurement fifty-four (54) acres two (2) roods thirty (30) perches, more or less, being Lot l on Deposited Plan 23517, being part of Allotment 8, Waiau Parish, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 529, folio 274 (Auckland Registry).

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.-Notice of Intention to Take Land THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the land described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 28th day of February, 1950, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 1st day of November, 1949, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

SCHEDULE SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT ALL that parcel of land situated in Blocks XV and XVI, Maungakawa Survey District, and Blocks III and IV, Cambridge Survey District, containing by admeasurement one thousand one hundred and three (1,103) acres two (2) roods fourteen decimal six (14Β·6) perches, more or less, being part of Lot 3 on Deposited Plan 5151, being part of Te Pae-O-Tu-Rawaru No. 2 Block, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 466, folio 232 (Auckland Registry).
