IN the notice dated 11th day of April, 1949, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 24 of the 13th day of April, 1949, at page 914, including Parish of Karaka, Lot 64c, Block I, Drury Survey District, containing 25 acres 0 roods 0 perches in the Waikato Development Scheme, for “25 acres 0 roods 0 perches” in the Schedule, read “25 acres 3 roods 0 perches.”

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road at Claverley
[L.S.] B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the South Island Main Trunk Railway (Clarence—Parnassus Section), and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Kaikoura County Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

In the Marlborough Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9957, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of September, 1949.

Declaring a Portion of Railway Land at Kirwee to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1948.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 rood.
Being Part Reserve No. 1301.
Situated in Block XII, Hawkins Survey District, Malvern County. (S.O. 8135.)
In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9991, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of September, 1949.
