NOTE.—As a matter of convenience, particulars in regard to teachers in Maori schools, schools in the Chatham Islands, the Correspondence School, the Technical Correspondence School, the Schools for Deaf at Sumner and Titirangi, other schools for the time being under the control of the Department of Education under the Education Act, 1914, and Physical Education Teachers and Area Organizers for Arts and Crafts, are now published in the Education Gazette.

(³) Seniority on maximum salary of £425 per annum to date from 31/3/1949. (⁴) Seniority on maximum salary of £350 per annum to date from 31/3/49. (⁵) Maximum includes £50 per annum as married officer payable in terms of Teachers’ Regulations. When competing for positions graded under Public Service Act, the married increment is disregarded.
