Members Appointed to Clydevale War Memorial Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of August, 1949

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the fourteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-second day of that month, the control of Section 46, Block I, Pomahaka Survey District, in the Otago Land District, a reserve for a site for a war memorial, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Order in Council constituted a special Board, by the name of the Clydevale War Memorial Board, in pursuance of section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:

And whereas it is desirable that Gordon Russell Miller and Arthur Corlett Kee, both of Clydevale, should be appointed members of the said Board in place of Charlotte Sophia Kee and George Alexander Miller, both deceased:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby appoint the said

Gordon Russell Miller, and
Arthur Corlett Kee

to be members of the Clydevale War Memorial Board, constituted by the Order in Council dated the fourteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said Charlotte Sophia Kee and George Alexander Miller, both deceased.

Revoking the Reservation Over Portion of a Reserve in Block XVI, Ohinemuri Survey District, South Auckland Land District

At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of August, 1949

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for municipal purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1948.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Waihi Borough containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 1·02 perches, more or less, being part Section 68, Block XVI, Ohinemuri Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 51548E, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington and thereon edged red. Recreation Reserve in the Canterbury Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Canterbury Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserve shall hereafter form part of the Sheldon Park Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Sheldon Park Domain Board.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

RESERVE 4356, (formerly Lot 11 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch under No. 10579, and being part of Rural Section 243A), situated in Blocks III and VII, Christchurch Survey District: Area, 2 roods 16 perches, more or less.

Vesting a Reserve in the Waihi Borough Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of August, 1949

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for municipal purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Waihi:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Waihi, in trust, for municipal purposes.

ALL that area in the Waihi Borough containing by admeasurement 41 acres 0 roods 1·98 perches, more or less, being part Section 68, Block XVI, Ohinemuri Survey District. Changing the Purpose of Reserves in Blocks IX and X, Rangitoto Survey District, North Auckland Land District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto are reserves duly set apart for road purposes:

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such lands shall be changed to reserves for recreation purposes:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserves described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from reserves for road purposes to reserves for recreation purposes.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL those areas in the City of Auckland situated in Blocks IX and X, Rangitoto Survey District, containing by admeasurement a total of 1 acre 2 roods 1·66 perches, more or less, being Lots 1 and 4 as shown on the plan numbered 35337, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, Lot 292 as shown on the plan numbered 14664, deposited as aforesaid, and Lot 293 as shown on the plan numbered 14665, deposited as aforesaid, all the aforementioned lots being parts of Allotments 18, 19, and 20, District of Tamaki. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans numbered L. and S. 6/1/748A, 6/1/748B, 6/1/748C, and 6/1/748D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
