Revocation of Hutt Valley and Bays Milk Delivery Notice 1946

Pursuant to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby revoke the Hutt Valley and Bays Milk Delivery Notice 1946†, such revocation to take effect on and from 8th August 1949.

Notice of Final Decision of New Zealand Geographic Board re Assigning of Place Name

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 1st August, 1949.

Whereas, pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act, 1946, notice was given on the 13th day of January, 1949, of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board to assign the name set out in the first column of the Schedule hereto to the land area described in the second column of the said Schedule :

And whereas pursuant to section 13 of the said Act, an objection to the proposed name was considered by the Board on the 13th day of July, 1949, and the original decision upheld :

And whereas after considering the Board’s report and decision herein the Minister of Lands has confirmed such decision :

Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 15 of the said Act, notice is hereby given that on and after the 8th day of August, 1949, there shall be assigned the name set out in the first column of the Schedule hereto to the land area described opposite that name in the second column of the said Schedule.

Northland .. All that land area being that portion of the North Auckland Land District lying to the north of the northern boundary of the County of Rodney as existing at the 13th day of January, 1949.

Notice to Persons Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Pharmacy Industry

J. G. Clark, 7 Armstrong Street, Huntly, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at Rotowaro Main Highway, near Harris Street, Huntly West.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

D. E. De May, Great South Road, Takanini, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed at proposed garage premises, Great South Road, Takanini.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 18th August, 1949, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Claims for Registration of School Colours

The following claim for registration of school colours, has been made in accordance with the regulations published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 12th August, 1915, and amendments thereto.

The claim will be registered unless objection is received by me within forty days of the publication hereof.

VICTORY SCHOOL, NELSON

Colours

Cap : Mid-grey, Eton style, with a ½ in. band of royal blue circling it, upper edge of band 2 in. from centre button.
Socks : Mid-grey with two ½ in. royal blue bands 1 in. apart on turnover.
Tie : Alternate ½ in. horizontal bars of mid-grey and royal blue.

The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925.—Notice of Proposed Cancellation of Registration

Notice is hereby given that, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 23 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, it is my intention to cancel the registration of the Auckland City Female Printing and Related Trades Industrial Union of Workers, registered No. 1108, situated at Auckland, after the expiration of six weeks from the date of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.

Price Order No. 1051 (Oatmeal and Rolled Oats)

Pursuant to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following Price Order :—

PRELIMINARY

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1051, and shall come into force on the 8th day of August, 1949.

  2. (1) Price Order No. 982* is hereby revoked.
    (2) The revocation of the said Order shall not affect the liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before the coming into force of this Order.

  3. (1) With respect to oatmeal and rolled oats sold in sacks or bags, the several maximum prices fixed by this Order include the price of the sack or bag.
    (2) The weights specified in this order are exclusive of the weight of the sack, bag, or other container.

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER

  1. This Order applies with respect to all oatmeal and rolled oats sold otherwise than under the trade names of Creamoata, Milk Oaties, Otienuts, Cream O’Groats, Otis, Oatlets, Oatina, or Oto.

FIXING MAXIMUM PRICES OF OATMEAL AND ROLLED OATS TO WHICH THIS ORDER APPLIES

Manufacturers’ Prices

  1. (1) Subject to the following provisions of this clause and of clause 8 hereof, the maximum price that may be charged or received by any manufacturer for any oatmeal or rolled oats to which this Order applies that is sold to a wholesaler shall be :—

(i) For oatmeal—

(2) With respect to deliveries (whether made to a wholesaler or to any person on behalf of a wholesaler) to Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill, the maximum prices fixed by subclause (1) hereof are fixed as for delivery free of freight charges into the consignee’s store.

(3) With respect to deliveries (whether made to a wholesaler or to any person on behalf of a wholesaler) to Auckland, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Nelson, Blenheim, Westport, Timaru, Oamaru, Greymouth, or Hokitika, the maximum prices fixed by subclause (1) hereof are fixed as for delivery free of sea freight, marine-insurance charges, and rail freight to the port or railway-station (as the case may be) that is nearest or most convenient of access to the consignee’s store.

(4) With respect to deliveries (whether made to a wholesaler or to any person on behalf of a wholesaler) to places other than the cities or boroughs specified in subclauses (2) and (3) hereof, the maximum prices fixed by subclause (1) hereof are fixed as for
