Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block I, Town of Maheno, for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Maheno and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 31 perches.
Being Section 5.

Situated in Block I, Town of Maheno.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 129402, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in the Borough of Takapuna for a Post-office

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a post-office—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Takapuna and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes; and notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the taking of such land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Johnsonville and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Grey County—

All that area at Karoro, consisting of the Greymouth-Waiho State Highway No. 56, commencing at the southern boundary of Greymouth Borough as now constituted, proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction, and terminating at the junction of the said State highway with Rata Street.

Exemption Order Under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:—

A motor-driver’s licence issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to any one of the persons described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market garden of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
