NOTICE UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for a public school the following additional lands—namely, all that piece of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland containing one acre three roods thirty-nine decimal eight perches (1 acre 3 roods 39·8 perches), more or less, being portion of the Blocks situated in Block XII of the Piako Survey District called Ngarua No. 1B 3B and Ngarua 1B 3A 1, which said pieces of land are shown as Lots 1 and 2 on a plan lodged in the Survey Office at Auckland under No. 34082.

A plan of the said land is deposited in the post-office at Kaihere, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.

All persons are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office in Wellesley Street East, Auckland.

PRIVATE BILL

In the matter of the Standing Orders of the General Assembly of New Zealand relative to Private Bills, and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled “An Act to Provide for the Constitution, and to Define the Functions and Powers, of a Disciplinary Committee to Exercise Disciplinary and Other Powers Over Registered Medical Practitioners.”

NOTICE is hereby given that The New Zealand Branch of the British Medical Association intends to present a petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand for the passing of the said Bill.

The objects of the said Bill are to provide for the constitution of a Disciplinary Committee to exercise disciplinary powers over registered medical practitioners in certain cases of professional misconduct, and to inquire into and make recommendations to the Minister of Health upon complaints against registered medical practitioners in connection with matters arising under Part III of the Social Security Act, 1938, or the regulations made under that Act; and to define the functions and powers of such Disciplinary Committee.

Printed copies of the Bill will be deposited in the Private Bill Office, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, on the 28th day of July, 1949, and at the offices of Messrs. Chapman, Tripp, Watson, James, and Co., Solicitors for The New Zealand Branch of the British Medical Association, 20 Brandon Street, Wellington, C. 1.
