Extending Time Within Which Commission Appointed to Inquire into the Treatment and Disposal of Sewage in the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District Shall Report

To all to whom these presents shall come, and to RONALD HENRY QUILLIAM, of the City of New Plymouth, New Zealand, Barrister; THOMAS BRUCE NICOL, of the City of Sydney, New South Wales, Engineer; and JOHN HOWARD BARNETT, of the City of Wellington, New Zealand, Public Accountant: Greetings.
WHEREAS by Warrant issued on the third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, under the hand of the Governor-General and the Seal of the Dominion, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, you were appointed under the authority of the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1908, to be a Commission to inquire into and report upon the methods of treatment and disposal of sewage in the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District, and the Boroughs of Northcote, Birkenhead, Devonport, and Takapuna, and kindred matters as set forth in the said Warrant:
And whereas by the said Warrant you were required to report not later than the seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, your findings and opinions on the matters referred to you together with such recommendations as you might think fit to make:
And whereas by Warrant issued on the seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, the time within which you were required to report was extended to the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine:
And whereas by Warrant issued on the sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, the time within which you were required to report was extended to the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine:
And whereas it is expedient that the time for so reporting should be further extended as hereinafter provided:
Now, therefore, I, Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1908, and all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, and acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council, do hereby extend until the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, the time within which you are so required to report:
And, in further pursuance of the said powers and authorities, and with the like advice and consent, I do hereby confirm the said Warrant and the Commission thereby constituted save as modified by these presents.
Given in the Executive Council under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of June, 1949.

Member of Plumbers Board Appointed

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Plumbers Registration Act, 1912, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint George Ivan Bickerdyke Thomas, A.M.I.C.E., Assistant to the City Engineer of the Corporation of the City of Wellington, to be a member of the Plumbers Board of New Zealand under the aforesaid Act.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Harbours Act, 1923, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
Walter William Massey
to be a member of the Auckland Harbour Board, as a representative of the electors of the counties of Manukau and Franklin and of the boroughs of Manurewa, Papakura, Papatoetoe, Pukekohe, and Otahuhu and of the town districts of Howick, Tuakau, and Waiuku in the place of Harold Hilton Sergeant, resigned, to hold office until the third Wednesday of November, one thousand nine hundred and fifty.
