EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for a public school, the following additional land—namely: All that piece of land containing 1 acre 2 roods, more or less, being part Lot 1, Deposited Plan 27756, and being part of Allotment 43, Town of Hamilton East, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 738, folio 117 (Auckland Registry).
A plan of the said land is deposited at the post-office at Hamilton East, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office, Wellesley Street East, Auckland.

MOUNT ALBERT BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
No. 3 Conversion Loan, 1949, of £115,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and section 20 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1935, and the Mount Albert Borough Council Loan Conversion Order 1948, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of new securities authorized to be issued by the Mount Albert Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts, the said Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal two five five of a penny (0·255d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 1st day of February, 1967, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”

Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
