Approval of Testing Officer Under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officer under the said regulation for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3
IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within the Hutt County—
The whole of that road known as the Stokes Valley Road which proceeds generally in a southerly direction from the Masterton-Wellington State Highway No. 32 together with all roads joining therewith after its junction with the said highway.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein, shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within the Bay of Islands County—
That portion of the Blackbridge-Paihia Main Highway No. 587 commencing at a point 35 chains measured along the said main highway from its junction with Waitangi Road and terminating at a point 6 chains measured along the said main highway in a south-easterly direction from the entrance to Hamilton’s Motor Camp, a distance of approximately 69 chains.

Exemption Order Under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:
A motor-driver’s licence issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market garden of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block XIV, Cambridge Survey District, for a Recreation-ground
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a recreation-ground: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Cambridge and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Pahiatua and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
