HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant, subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, a licence authorizing Felix Stuart Hindmarsh Bolton, of Oete, Sheep-farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations made or to be made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (a) of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1970, or until electrical energy is available from the Tararua Electric-power Board, whichever is the earlier.
SCHEDULE
LINES adapted for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described: Commencing at a point on the eastern side of the Pahiatua–Hopelands Road, and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction across an unnamed stream to the licensee's farm buildings, all being situated in Section 12, Block I, Makuri Survey District, in the County of Pahiatua; the said lines being more particularly delineated by means of broken blue lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 69, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.

Conferring on Waitemata County Council Certain Powers of Borough Councils with Respect to Waterworks

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him in that behalf by section one hundred and eighty-two of the Counties Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby confer on the Waitemata County Council all the powers with respect to the supply of water for domestic or industrial purposes exercisable by a duly constituted Borough Council under sections eighty-two to eighty-four, eighty-six to eighty-eight, Part XX (with the exception of sections two hundred and fifty-one, two hundred and fifty-three, and two hundred and fifty-four), and section three hundred and forty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and also section twenty of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1938.

Consenting to the Raising of the Balance (£2,200) of the Rangiora Borough Council's Loan of £6,200 and Prescribing the Conditions Thereof

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the fourth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six (hereinafter called the said Order in Council), and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising by the Rangiora Borough Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of six thousand two hundred pounds (£6,200) to be known as “Street Works and Town Hall Improvements Loan, 1946” (hereinafter called the said loan):
And whereas the authority conferred by the said Order in Council has lapsed in accordance with the provisions of clause seven thereof, and it is not now lawful or competent for the said local authority to raise the said loan or any portion thereof, except in accordance with the provisions of a further Order in Council that may be issued pursuant to section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called the said Act):
And whereas an amount of two thousand two hundred pounds (£2,200) (hereinafter called the said sum) has not yet been raised, and it is expedient to authorize the said local authority to raise the said sum on the conditions hereinafter set out:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the said Act, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said sum up to the amount of two thousand two hundred pounds (£2,200) for the purpose for which the said loan was authorized, and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—
(1) The term for which the said sum or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed fifteen (15) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said sum or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding three pounds five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said local authority shall, before raising the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, or under such other statutory enactment as may be applicable, and shall thereafter make payments to such sinking fund at intervals of not more than one year at the rate or rates per centum which shall be not less than five pounds seven shillings and sixpence (£5 7s. 6d.), such payments to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for the time being so borrowed and not repaid, the first of such payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender or lenders is computed on the said sum or any part thereof so raised.
(4) The payment of interest and the repayment of principal in respect of the said sum shall be made in New Zealand.
(5) No amount payable as either interest or sinking fund in respect of the said sum shall be paid out of loan-moneys.
(6) The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procurement fees in respect of the raising of the said sum or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.
(7) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.
