IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
NOTICE is hereby given that by entry in the company's minute-book made on the 18th day of May, 1949, and signed as provided by subsection (1) of section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, it was resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that Mr. Hugh Thomas James McNeil, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up:
And notice is hereby further given that a meeting of the creditors of the company will be held, pursuant to the said section of the said Act, at 27 Alston Chambers, 2nd Floor 63 Queen Street, Auckland C. 1, on the 26th day of May, 1949, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company's affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution
PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that by entry of a special resolution in the minute-book of the above-named company on the 23rd day of May, 1949, it was resolved:-
"That the company go into voluntary liquidation, and that Mr. W. D. Smith be and is hereby appointed liquidator."

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY
NOTICE is hereby given that THE ANDREWS AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING AND ELECTRICAL COMPANY, LIMITED, has changed its name to NORMAN ANDREWS, LIMITED, and that the new name was this day entered on my Register of Companies in place of the former name.

RESOLUTION
THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Levin Racing Club, at a meeting held on the 6th day of May, 1949, at 7.30 p.m., with a recommendation by the Chairman of such club, Mr. Ernest Morton Ryder, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. Ernest Morton Ryder, the Chairman of such club and the meeting moved, and Mr. William Curran Hannan seconded, and it was resolved that such regulations should be adopted and that the Chairman and Secretary be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.
The following are the regulations referred to :-
LEVIN RACING CLUB
REGULATIONS
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908)
In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf the Levin Racing Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as the said club) doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Levin Race-course, situated in the district of Horowhenua, and known as the Levin Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

These regulations shall come into force on the date of the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette.

In these regulations the words "bookmaker," "racing club," and "race meeting" shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely :-
(a) Bookmakers :
(b) Bookmakers' clerks, bookmakers' assistants, and book-makers' agents :
(c) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Association :
(d) Common prostitutes and persons who habitually consort with thieves or persons who have no lawful visible means of support :
(e) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of house breaking or pocket picking, forgery, uttering or possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act, 1908, and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues, and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted under the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908:
Provided always that the Executive Committee appointed by the New Zealand Racing Conference, upon being satisfied by evidence as to character and otherwise that any person who, by reason of any conviction, comes within the scope of this regulation, should have relief from the effect thereof, may grant exemption to any such person, and may at any time revoke any such exemption without notice to such person, and without assigning any reason for such revocation:
The foregoing regulations of the Levin Racing Club were made and passed by such club on the 6th day of May, 1949, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL
JOHN GUINIVEN, Mayor of the Takapuna Borough Council, do hereby certify that, pursuant to the provisions of sub-section (2) of section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, a resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Takapuna Borough Council held on the 9th day of May, 1949, and confirmed on the 23rd day of May, 1949, providing for the issue, under Part II of that Act, of new securities in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loan specified in the First Schedule to the Takapuna Borough Council Loan Conversion Order, 1949, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 12th day of May, 1949, at page 1006.

TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE FOR CONVERSION LOAN IN TERMS OF TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL LOANS CONVERSION ORDER, 1949
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, section 20 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1935, and the Takapuna Borough Council Loan Conversion Order, 1949, the Takapuna Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities authorized to be issued by the Takapuna Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts, the said Takapuna Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and eight-tenths of a penny (2.8d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within its district; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 31st day of May, 1965, or until all such securities are fully paid off."
