Notice of Intention to Take Land in the Borough of Foxton for Housing Purposes
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Foxton and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 31 perches.
Being Section 98, Town of Foxton.
Situated in the Borough of Foxton, being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 126, folio 147.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 128903, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Price Order No. 1003 (Second-hand Motor-vehicles)
PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following Price Order:—

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1003, and shall come into force on the 20th day of May, 1949.

In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires—
“Motor-vehicle” shall have the same meaning as in the Motor-vehicles Act, 1924:
“Second-hand” in relation to a motor-vehicle, means a motor-vehicle that has previously been sold by a retailer in New Zealand:
“To trade-in” in relation to a motor-vehicle, means to transfer the property in that motor-vehicle as part satisfaction of the purchase-price of another motor-vehicle.

The maximum price that may be charged or received for any second-hand motor-vehicle shall not exceed the maximum price at which the vehicle was authorized, pursuant to a Price Order or a special approval given under section 16 of the Control of Prices Act, 1947, to be sold when new by a retailer.

The provisions of this Order shall apply to a second-hand motor-vehicle notwithstanding any alteration or improvement that may have been effected in respect of the vehicle after the time when it was first sold by a retailer and notwithstanding the addition of any equipment or fitting to the vehicle after that time.

(1) For the purposes of this Order the purchase-price of any second-hand motor-vehicle shall be deemed to be the total amount of the moneys required to be paid together with the fair market value at the time of the sale of any vehicle traded in as part of the purchase-price and the fair market value at the time of the sale of any other consideration provided by the purchaser in respect of the sale.
(2) For the purposes of this clause the fair market value of any article shall be deemed to be its value if sold in the open market.
(3) Where the vendor of any motor-vehicle to which this Order applies does not know the authorized selling-price of that motor-vehicle when new he shall, before effecting a sale of the said motor-vehicle ascertain from the Director of Price Control the authorized selling-price.
