Officers Authorized to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Land Resumed for Works of Public Utility at Purewa Creek, Port of Auckland, Waitemata Harbour

IN pursuance and exercise of section one hundred and forty-one of the Harbours Act, 1923, and every other power in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on behalf of His Majesty the King, in respect of the Government of New Zealand, do hereby give to the Auckland Harbour Board notice that, at the expiration of a period of one month after the day on which this notice is served on the Board, I intend to enter upon and take possession of the lands vested in the Harbour Board which are described in the Schedule hereto for the construction of a public work—namely, housing—as defined in the Housing Act, 1919.

ALL that parcel of land shown coloured yellow on the plan marked M.D. 8864, deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, containing 16 perches, be the same a little more or less, situated in Block IX, Rangitoto Survey District, being part of the land below mean high-water mark in the Auckland Harbour, and being part of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Register-book, Volume 55, folio 236 (Auckland Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of March, 1949.

Setting Apart Unalienated Crown Land for Purposes of Part III (State Coal-mines) of the Coal-mines Act, 1925

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection one of section one hundred and sixty-seven of the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the unalienated Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part III of the said Act; and do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect as from the date of the gazetting hereof.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section fifty-five of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

to be trustees of the Ruapuna Public Cemetery, formerly known as the Mayfield Public Cemetery, as described in the Schedule hereto; and to have the control and management of the said cemetery.
