The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943—Notice of
Intention to Take Lands
THE Minister of Lands acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, as extended by the provisions of section 2 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Amendment Act, 1948, hereby gives notice of his intention to take under Part II of the said Act, the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, and the interest of the lessee in the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and specifies the 31st day of January, 1950, as the date on which possession of the lands described in the said First and Second Schedules is required, and the 24th day of May, 1949, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.
FIRST SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement one hundred and fifty (150) acres two (2) roods, more or less, being Section 3A, Block XIII, Kaipara Survey District, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 100, folio 229 (Auckland Registry).
Also, all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement one hundred and seventy-four (174) acres one (1) rood twenty-one (21) perches, more or less, being part of Section 8, Block XIII, Kaipara Survey District, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 714, folio 72 (Auckland Registry).
Also, all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement one hundred and thirty-two (132) acres two (2) roods thirty-eight decimal eight (38·8) perches, more or less, being part of Section 3, Block XIII, Kaipara Survey District, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 698, folio 113 (Auckland Registry).
Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement one (1) rood twelve decimal eight (12·8) perches, more or less being part of the North-western portion of Section 4, Block XIII, Kaipara Survey District, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 91, folio 92 (Auckland Registry), together with the rights-of-way created by Transfers 8673 and 8674 and subject to a right-of-way created by Transfer 22132.
SECOND SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement two hundred and thirty (230) acres one (1) rood and twenty-two (22) perches, more or less, being part of Section 9, Block XIII, Kaipara Survey District, and being the residue of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 192, folio 262 (Auckland Registry), and being the whole of the land in memorandum of lease No. 17754.

Standard Cost of Production and Average Price for Apples and Pears for the 1948–49 Season
IN accordance with section 15 (2) of the Apple and Pear Marketing Act, 1948, I hereby declare the standard cost of production of apples and pears for the 1948–49 season to be 9s. 2d. per case, non-wrapped.
In accordance with section 16 (1), I also declare the average price of apples and pears for the 1948–49 season to be 9s. 6d. per case, non-wrapped.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
J. W. Priest, Pungarehu, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at Pungarehu.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application should, not later than 27th April, 1949, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications to be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:—

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 994, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 665* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

This Order shall come into force on the 25th day of April, 1949.

The Second Schedule to the principal Order, as set out in Price Order No. 989†, is hereby revoked, and the following Schedule substituted therefor:—
