Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Maromaku Domain

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint

George McKay Ross,
Cyril Milson Cutforth Going,
Norman Samuel Mason,
John Proctor,
John Garmondsway Wrightson,
Frederick Andrews,
Arthur Garrard Boese,
Eric James Jacobson, and
George Hubert Poole

to be the Maromaku Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday,
the ninth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine,
at eight o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Maromaku School
as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—MAROMAKU DOMAIN
LOT 1, D.P. 29882, being part Section 71, Block V, Hukerenui
Survey District : Area, 5 acres 1 rood 11 perches, more or less.

Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Waihola Domain

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 13th day of
April, 1949

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-sixth
day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-
nine, and published in Gazette of the twenty-seventh day of that
month, the Greenwich Square Domain Board was constituted
and appointed to control the Greenwich Square Domain, in pursuance
of section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act, 1928:

And whereas it is desired to change the name of the said
Greenwich Square Domain to Waihola Domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
both hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
shall, from and after the date hereof, be known as the Waihola
Domain; and, with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth
hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the twenty-sixth day
of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, hereinbefore
referred to, appointing a Domain Board to have control of the
Greenwich Square Domain, and doth hereby appoint

Lewis Ivan Albert Andrews,
Charles Dobbie Baker,
Geoffrey Ferryly Galloway,
William Victor Graham,
Alfred Lorimer Hogg,
Bryan Robson Leckie,
John Magon,
Albert Henry Sharpe, and
James Smolenski.

to be the Waihola Domain Board, having control of the land described
in the Schedule hereto, for the purpose of and subject to the provisions
of the said Act.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—WAIHOLA DOMAIN
SECTION 18, Block VI, Town of Waihola: Area, 1 acre 1 rood
11 perches, more or less.
Also Section 1559R, Town of Waihola: Area, 4 acres 2 roods
20 perches, more or less.

Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint

James Henry Adams,
Russell McNee Anderson,
Cuthbert Glensil Blair,
Laurence David King,
Benjamin Thomas Pearce,
James Amos Smart, and
Robert William Read Woolman

to be the South Malvern Domain Board, having control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto: and doth hereby appoint
Monday, the ninth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-nine, at half past seven o'clock p.m., as the time when, and
the South Malvern Schoolroom, as the place where, the first meeting
of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTH MALVERN DOMAIN
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 22 acres 3 roods, more
or less, being part Reserve 1388, Block VII, Hororata Survey District.
Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 328x; towards
the east by Section No. 12371, 940 links; towards the south by the
Selwyn River; and towards the west by the road forming the
eastern boundary of Section No. 35327, 2100 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the
plan marked S.G. 38516, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Block XIII, Opoiti Survey District, Gisborne Land District

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 13th day of
April, 1949

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a
reserve duly set apart for a site for a post and telegraph
office: And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the
reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for police
purposes:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by
subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains,
and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the pur-
pose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
changed from a reserve for a site for a post and telegraph office to
a reserve for police purposes.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public
Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for a hall-site
over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby
declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land
available for disposal under the Land Act, 1948.
