Land Taken at Opotiki for Railway Purposes

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
taken for railway purposes.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of piece of land : 1 acre 0 roods 0·7 perches.
Being Allotment 7 of Section 2, Town of Opotiki.

Situated in the Borough of Opotiki. (S.O. 4547.)

In the Gisborne Land District ; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9793, deposited in the office of
the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 7th day of April, 1949.

Land Taken for the Purpose of the Construction of a Drainage Cut
and the Straightening, Deepening, and Dredging of Portion of
the River Avon in Block XII, Christchurch Survey District, and
Block I, Sumner Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
the purpose of the construction of a drainage cut and the straightening,
deepening, and dredging of portion of the River Avon, and shall vest
in the Christchurch Drainage Board as from the date hereinafter
mentioned ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the nineteenth day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and forty-nine.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
housing purposes, and I do also declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the nineteenth day of April, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 acre 3 roods
6·9 perches.

Being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 11776, and being part Section 5
of the Hokowhitu Maori Reserve, and being also all the land
comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 472,
folio 263, Wellington Land Registry.

Situated in the City of Palmerston North.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 9th day of April, 1949.
