WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whakatane County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act,
1928, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, to execute
the public works hereunder mentioned; and for the purposes of
which public works the lands described in the Schedule hereto are
required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a
plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public
office of the said Whakatane County Council, situated at The Strand,
Whakatane, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons
during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution
of the said public works, or by the taking of such lands, who have
any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public
works, or to the taking of the said lands, must state their objections
in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first
publication of this notice to the clerk of the said Council at the said
office.

SCHEDULE

FIRSTLY, thirteen and three-tenths (13·3) perches, more or less,
being part of Lot No. 45 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry
Office, at Auckland, under No. 556, which said parcel of land is
portion of Allotment No. 271 of the Parish of Waimana, and the
whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 325, folio
44 (Auckland Registry);

And, secondly, thirteen and three-tenths (13·3) perches, more
or less, being part of Lot 46 on a plan deposited in the Land
Registry Office, at Auckland, under No. 556, which said parcel of
land is portion of Allotment No. 271 of the Parish of Waimana,
and the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 624,
folio 55 (Auckland Registry).

Both sections are situated in the Borough of Whakatane and
are required to be taken for the erection of workers’ dwellings.

1949, confirming the reduction of capital of the company from
£30,000 to £7,044 7s. 6d., and the minute approved by the Court
showing with respect to the capital of the company the several
particulars required by the said Act was registered with the Assistant
Registrar of Companies at Auckland on the 29th day of March,
1949.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 241 of the
said Act, a general meeting of the above-named company
will be held at the office of Messrs. Burton and Patterson, Public
Accountants, 137 Stuart Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the 29th day
of April, 1949, at 8 p.m. for the purpose of receiving and considering
the liquidator’s final statement of account and of giving any explana-
tion thereof which may be required; and notice is hereby further
given that a meeting of creditors of the above-named company will
be held at the office of Messrs. Burton and Patterson, Public
Accountants, 137 Stuart Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the 29th day
of April 1949, at 7 p.m. for the purpose of receiving and considering
the liquidator’s final statement of account and of giving any
explanation thereof which may be required and for resolving,
pursuant to section 275 of the said Act, as to the disposal of the
books and accounts and documents of the company.

required by the above statute was registered by the Registrar of

COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A QUARRY

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works
Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Coromandel County Council
proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts
to execute a certain public work—namely, the Whangapoua Road
quarry and night-soil dump and general County purposes—and
for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the
Schedule hereto are required to be taken. Notice is hereby further
given that a plan (Survey Office No. 34022) of the lands so required
to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said
Council situated at the Council Chambers, Kapanga Road, Coromandel,
and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during
ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or
by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said
lands must state their objections in writing and send the same to
or lodge the same at the office of the County Council, Kapanga
Road, Coromandel, within forty days from the first publication of
this notice, i.e., on or before the 6th day of April, 1949.
