  1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

The licensee is hereby authorized, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purposes of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan S.H.D. 65 :—

(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake and water-race leading to the Pelton wheel and power-house hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of approximately 28 ft. :

(b) Pelton wheel and power-house with all necessary equipment for generating electricity, situated in part Section 1, Block XI, Maruia Survey District :

(c) Tail-race leading from the said power-house to the said Burnett's Creek :

(d) Electric lines leading from the said power-house across part Section 1, Block XI, Maruia Survey District, and across the said unnamed stream to the licensee's dwelling situated in the said part Section 1.

  1. DURATION OF LICENCE

This licence, unless sooner determined, shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1969, or until electrical energy is available from an Electric-power Board or other public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph $(d)$ of clause $21-01$ of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be direct current.

  1. RENTAL

For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this licence, the licensee may install a suitable maximum-demand indicator to the satisfaction of the Inspecting Engineer of the State Hydro-electric Department, and failing such installation, the rental shall be determined on the maximum capacity of the generating plant installed. The present plant is rated at 2.5 kilowatts.

  1. NO RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED

This licence shall not of itself confer upon the licensee any right to water.

The New Plymouth Milk Board Constitution Order 1949

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 30th day of March, 1949

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Milk Act, 1944, as amended by section two of the Milk Amendment Act, 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order and declare as follows :—

  1. This order may be cited as the New Plymouth Milk Board Constitution Order 1949.

  2. There is hereby constituted for the New Plymouth Milk District a District Milk Board, with the name of the “New Plymouth Milk Board”.

  3. The New Plymouth Milk Board shall consist of such members as are appointed by the Governor-General pursuant to subsection three of section two of the Milk Amendment Act, 1947.

  4. The Board hereby constituted shall be the Milk Authority of the New Plymouth Milk District for the purposes of the Milk Act, 1944.

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Milk Act, 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order and declare as follows :-

  1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Dunedin Metropolitan Milk Board Constitution Order 1945, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Dunedin Metropolitan Milk Board Constitution Order 1945* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

(2) This Order shall come into force on the twelfth day following the day of publication thereof in the Gazette.

  1. The principal Order is hereby amended by omitting from the Schedule thereto the words “Mosgiel Borough”.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Milk Act, 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order and declare as follows :—

  1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Dunedin Metropolitan Milk District Constitution Order 1945, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five (published in the Gazette of the twenty-eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, Volume II, at page 840), constituting the Dunedin Metropolitan Milk District (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

(2) This Order shall come into force on the fifth day following the day of publication thereof in the Gazette.

  1. The principal Order may hereafter be cited as the Dunedin Metropolitan Milk District Constitution Order 1945.

  2. (1) The boundaries of the Dunedin Metropolitan Milk District are hereby altered by excluding therefrom the Borough of Mosgiel and part of the Taieri County.

(2) The said district shall hereafter consist of those parts of New Zealand described in the Schedule to the principal Order, as set out in clause four hereof.

  1. The principal Order is hereby amended by revoking the Schedule thereto, and substituting the following Schedule:-

“SCHEDULE

“DUNEDIN METROPOLITAN MILK DISTRICT

“ALL that area comprising the City of Dunedin, the Boroughs of Green Island, St. Kilda, West Harbour, and Port Chalmers, and parts of Taieri, Waikouaiti, and Peninsula Counties: Commencing at a point on the coast-line in line with the south-western corner of Allotment 11, Block III, Township of Brighton; thence north-easterly by a right line to a point at the intersections on the boundary-line between Section 2A and Section 3A, Duncan Settlement and Taylor's Creek ; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of Block I, Otokia Survey District, to the north-western boundary of Section 8, Block VIII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District ; thence south-westerly by a straight line to the southern-most corner of Section 32, Block VIII aforesaid ; thence by a straight line to the north-eastern corner of Section 39, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; thence by a straight line to the south-western corner of Section 28, Irregular Block, East Taieri Survey District; thence north-easterly, north-westerly, and north-easterly along the south-eastern, north-eastern, and south-eastern boundaries, respectively, of Irregular Block, East Taieri Survey District, to their junction with the Wingatui-Halfway Bush Road; thence north-easterly along that road to Duke's Road-Dunedin Main Highway; thence easterly to and northerly along Halfway Bush Road to the road on the south-eastern boundary of Section 2 of 25, Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; thence easterly along that road to the Dunedin City boundary; thence north-easterly along that boundary to Swampy Hill; thence easterly along the said Dunedin City boundary to the south-eastern corner of Section 9, Block III, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; thence northerly along that boundary to and easterly along the southern boundary of Blocks I and IV to Block V, all of North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; thence easterly along the road forming the southern boundaries of Sections 9 to 18, said Block V, along the eastern boundary of said Section 18 and the southern boundary of Section 50 to the ocean ; thence south-easterly by the Pacific Ocean; thence along the north-western and south-eastern sides of Otago Harbour to the junction of roads at Portobello; thence south-westerly along the Dunedin-Portobello High Road to McMeeking Road; thence southerly along that road to and across Sections 36 and 37, Block I, Otago Peninsula, to the ocean; thence south-westerly by the ocean to the point of commencement.”
