Trustees for Chertsey Cemetery Appointed

PURSUANT to section fifty-five of the Cemeteries Act, 1908,
I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
appoint

The Ashburton County Council

to be the trustees of the cemetery within the meaning of the said
Act, known as the Chertsey Cemetery, being the land described in
the Schedule hereto, and to have the control and management
thereof.


SCHEDULE

ALL that area containing 4 acres 1 rood 23 perches, more or less,
being Reserve No. 2414, and situated in Block VII, Ashburton
Survey District, Canterbury Land District.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 23rd day of March, 1949.

Land Permanently Reserved in the Nelson Land District for a
Public-school Site (Mangarakau)

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the
Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General
may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwith-
standing that the same may be then under pastoral licence, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes
in the said section mentioned :

And whereas by the three-hundred-and-sixtieth section of the
said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said
three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section may, at the expiration of one
month but not later than six months, after the publication in the
Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently
reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be
published in the Gazette :

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by
the Warrant dated the sixteenth day of December, one thousand nine
hundred and forty-eight, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-
third day of that month, temporarily reserved under the authority
of the said Act for a public-school site (Mangarakau) :

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Frey-
berg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the said Acts, do hereby permanently reserve the land
described in the Schedule hereto for a public-school site for which
purpose the said land was so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.


SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Collingwood County, containing by admeasure-
ment 1 acre 0 roods 17 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 2
on Deposited Plan 3655, and being part Section 1, Square 19,
situated in Block VII, Pakawau Survey District, and being portion
of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume
98, folio 201 (Nelson Registry). As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/910, deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon coloured red. (Nelson S.O. plan 9544.)

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 24th day of March, 1949.

Land Districts

described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes in the said Schedule
specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so
intended to be permanently reserved for which purposes the said
lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.


SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTIONS 1 and 2, Block VI, Tauhoa Survey District : Area, 745
acres, more or less. (North Auckland plan, 34823.) (Preservation
of native flora.)

All that area in the City of Auckland situated in Block I, Otahuhu
Survey District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 25Β·5 perches,
more or less, being Lot I as shown on the plan numbered 34030,
deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland,
being part Allotment 45 of Section 6, Suburbs of Auckland, and
being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate
of Title, Volume 879, folio 91 (Auckland Land Registry). As the
same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S.
1/398A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Site for a training
college.)

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

All that area in the Springs County, containing by admeasure-
ment 56 acres 3 roods 30 perches, more or less, being part of Reserve
959, situated in Block XVI, Leeston Survey District. As the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 15/1,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. plan 7953.) (River
protection.)

District : Area, 1 rood 7Β·8 perches, more or less.
