PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby consent to the assignment to the Buller Electric-power Board by the Westport Borough Council of its rights, powers, and privileges under the Orders in Council described in the Schedule hereto authorizing it to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect and maintain electric lines in the Borough of Westport and parts of the County of Buller.

Directing Sale of Railway Land at Maroa Under the Public Works Act, 1928

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 23rd day of March, 1949

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 992 acres 1 rood 23.7 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks XIII and XIV, Te Atiamuri Survey District, being part of the land on Deposited Plan No. 516, and being portion of Tatua West Block, and being the whole of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 899, folio 58 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that parcel of land containing 368 acres 2 roods 4.8 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks XIII and XIV, Te Atiamuri Survey District, being part of the land on Deposited Plan No. 589, and being portion of Tatua West Block, and being the whole of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 908, folio 201 (Auckland Registry).

Situated in Taupo County.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9394, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 2 acres 3 roods 9.9 perches.
Being part Section 13, Block X, Awamoko Survey District.

Situated in Waitaki County. (S.O. 9713.)

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9737, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Foreshore Licence: Otago Harbour—Otakou—Fish-scaling Shed—Noel Willoughby Robertson

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby permit Noel Willoughby Robertson of Otakou (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his executors, administrators, and assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Otakou, in Otago Harbour, as shown on plans marked M.D. 8837 and 8814 (sheet No. 1), and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining a fish-scaling shed thereon as shown on the said plans, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

  1. THIS licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The terms of the licence shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of April, 1949.

  3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be two pounds ten shillings (£2 10s.), and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be two pounds (£2).

Revoking Delegation of Power of Appointing and Removing Trustees for Chertsey Cemetery

PURSUANT to the Cemeteries Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council made on the twenty-third day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, and published in the Gazette of the same year at page 1062, whereby powers of appointing and removing trustees in respect of the Chertsey Cemetery were delegated to the Ashburton County Council.

PURSUANT to section five of the Maori Purposes Act, 1937, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart and reserve the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the common use of the descendants of Rahiri as a marae and meeting-place.
