NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Canterbury Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

Land in the Nelson Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures
District Lands and Survey Office,
Nelson, 22nd March, 1949.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1948; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 2nd May, 1949.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, on Wednesday, 4th May, 1949, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot the required deposit, or the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee. The section may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.
SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—URBAN LAND
Buller County
SECTION 68, Town of Hector, Ngakawau Survey District: Area, 1 rood 2 perches: Cash price, £20;
Deferred payment: Purchase price, £20, to be paid by a cash deposit of £5, with the balance repayable over ten years with interest at 4½ per cent. by twenty half-yearly instalments (principal and interest combined) of 18s. 11d.
Renewable lease (term, thirty-three years): Rental value, £20; half-yearly rent, 9s.
The section, which has frontage to Corbett Street, is flat and suitable for a building-site. At present covered with scrub and blackberry.
