Additional Land at East Town Taken for the Purposes of the Foxton -
New Plymouth Railway

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the
purposes of the Foxton - New Plymouth Railway.

All situated in Block I, Ikltara Survey District (City of

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9742, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 18th day of March, 1949.

Revoking in Part a Proclamation Taking Additional Land Near
Piriaka for the Purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway
[L.S.]

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke so
much of the Proclamation dated the twelfth day of November, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and published in the New
Zealand Gazette of the same year at page 1802, taking additional
land near Piriaka for the purposes of the North Island Main Trunk
Railway, as affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

formerly part Section 34, Block II, Hunua

Situated in Kaitieke County. (S.O. 21831.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9739, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of March, 1949.

Revoking a Proclamation Taking Land for a Public School in the
Borough of Whakatane

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation
dated the fifteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37 of
the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-eight, at page 775, taking land for a public school in the Borough
of Whakatane, such land being no longer required.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of March, 1949.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a
public school and shall vest in the Education Board of the District
of Canterbury as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do
also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the
twenty-eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-
nine.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 6 acres.
Being part of Rural Sections 459 and 2219.
Situatcd in Block X, Christchurch Survey District (Canterbury
R.D.). (S.O. 8025.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particu-
larly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 128281, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of March, 1949.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section thirty
of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1945, I, Lieutenant-General
Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for better utiliza-
tion; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect
on and after the twenty-eighth day of March, one thousand
nine hundred and forty-nine.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 rood 7.36 perches.
Being Lot 64, D.P. 19195, being part of Allotments 7 and 8, Section 9,
Suburbs of Auckland, and being the whole of the land comprised
and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 912, folio 236
(Auckland Land Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 9th day of March, 1949.
