Constituting the Spray Rabbit District.--(Notice No. Ag. 4623)

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of
March, 1949
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, and to section
twenty-nine of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1947,
His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the Minister
of Agriculture, made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction
Council, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, doth hereby constitute and declare the area of
land, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto,
being an area to which subsection one of section thirty of the Rabbit
Nuisance Act, 1928, applies, a rabbit district, and doth appoint that
the name of the said rabbit district shall be the Spray Rabbit
District, and doth order that the basis on which the Rabbit Board
to be established for the said district shall first levy its general rate
shall be the acreage of land occupied by the ratepayer, and doth
declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the first
day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.

SCHEDULE

DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF THE SPRAY RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area of land situated in the Marlborough Land District,
containing approximately 129,700 acres, and bounded as follows :
Commencing on the south bank of the Waihopai River at its junction
with the Musgrave Brook in Block XVI, Avon Survey District ;
thence generally southerly by the Musgrave Brook to the northern
corner of Section 35, Summerlands Run, Waihopai Registration
District, in Block XXI, Avon Survey District, and by the northern
boundary of Section 35 and the eastern boundaries of Sections 35,
31, and 30 and the northern boundary of Section 29, all of Summer-
lands Run, Waihopai Registration District, to a public road in
Block V, Hodder Survey District ; thence across the aforesaid
public road and by the northern and eastern boundaries of Lot 12B,
D.P. 664, to the south-eastern corner of the said Lot 12B ; thence
across a public road and by the northern, eastern, and south-
eastern boundaries of Lot 13B, D.P. 664, to a point on Non Upton
Brook at the southernmost corner of the said Lot 13B in Block VIII,
Spray Survey District; thence northerly by the eastern bank of
Non Upton Brook to the Avon River, and across that river and a
public road; thence westerly by the northern side of the said public
road to the western corner of Section 135, Redwood Run, Waihopai
Registration District, in Block VIII, Spray Survey District ; thence
southerly by the south-western boundary of the aforesaid Section
135 and the western side of a public road to the Avon Saddle;
thence westerly by the boundary of the Marlborough County
(defined by Order in Council made on the 4th day of March, 1932,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 10th day of March,
1932, at page 473) to the southernmost corner of Run 107 in Block
I, Upcot Survey District ; thence westerly by the southern boundary
of Run 107 to the Waihopai Saddle in Block V, Molesworth Survey
District ; thence northerly by the western boundary of the said
Run 107 to its junction with the north-eastern boundary of the said
Run 107 in Block I, Spray Survey District ; thence northerly and
easterly by the western boundaries of Sections 41, 40, 37, and the
western and northern boundaries of Section 36, all of Hillersden
Settlement, to the western bank of Sweet's Stream, and across that
stream; thence northerly by the eastern bank of Sweet's Stream
to Sweet's Saddle in Block XIV, Mount Olympus Survey District ;
thence easterly by the northern boundaries of Lot 4 and part Lot 3,
D.P. 729, to Boundary Creek; thence southerly by the western
bank of Boundary Creek to the junction of that creek with a public
road in Block XVI, Avon Survey District; thence westerly by the
northern side of the said public road for a distance of approximately
half a mile, and across that public road and by the western boundary
of the land shown on D.P. 1080 to the Waihopai River; thence
westerly by the northern bank of the Waihopai River to a point
opposite the western end of the land shown on D.P. 1081; thence
by a right line across that river; thence generally easterly by the
southern and eastern boundaries of the land shown on D.P. 1081
to the Waihopai River, and by the southern bank of that river to
the point of commencement.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by
the Milk Act, 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
doth hereby order and declare as follows :-

  1. This order may be cited as the New Plymouth Milk District
    Constitution Order 1949.
  2. The area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby con-
    stituted and declared a milk district under the Milk Act, 1944, as
    from the fourteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred
    and forty-nine, with the name of the " New Plymouth Milk District."

SCHEDULE
NEW PLYMOUTH MILK DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in the City of New Plymouth and the
Taranaki County, being all the City of New Plymouth and
portions of the Omata, Grey, Hua, and Fitzroy Districts and portion
of Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred, and bounded as follows : Com-
mencing at a point on the left bank at the mouth of the Waiwakaiho
River; thence up the left bank of that river to a point opposite the
confluence of the Mangaone Stream; thence across the Waiwakaiho
River and up the Mangaone Stream to Devon Road; thence generally
southerly by a right line to the north-east corner of Part Lot l on
plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at New Plymouth and
numbered 2210; thence generally southerly along the eastern
boundaries of the aforesaid lot, Lot B on plan deposited as aforesaid
and numbered 2280, and Purakau A 2 Sub. 2A IA, A 2 Sub. 2A IB,
A 2 Sub. 2A 2B, A 2 Sub. 2A 2A Blocks; thence westerly along the
southern boundary of the last-mentioned block, the southern
boundary of an unnamed road, and the southern boundary of Lot C
on plan deposited as aforesaid and numbered 2280 to the north-east
corner of Lot I on plan deposited as aforesaid and numbered 880;
thence southerly along the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned
lot, Lot 2 on plan numbered 880, Part Lot 3 plan numbered 3141,
Part Lot 3 plan numbered 880, all deposited as aforesaid, Raupiu
B 2 and B 3 Blocks and Section 160, Hua District; thence westerly
along the southern boundary of the last-mentioned section, across
Smart Road; thence westerly along the southern boundary of
Section 20, Block VI, Paritutu Survey District, to and across the
Waiwakaiho River; thence up the left bank of the said river to
the south-east corner of Sub. 35 Puketotora MR 3 Block; thence
westerly along the southern boundary of the aforementioned Sub. 35,
across Mangorei Road, and westerly along the southern boundary
of Sub. 34 Puketotora MR 3 Block, across Branch Road, and westerly
along the southern boundary of Sub. 328 Puketotora MR 3 Block;
thence along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of
Part Lot 23A on plan deposited as aforesaid and numbered 1950,
to a point in line with the south-east corner of Lot l on plan deposited
as aforesaid and numbered 5001; thence westerly by a right line
crossing an unnamed road and Junction Road to and along the
southernmost boundaries of the aforementioned Lot 1 to and across
the Henui River and up the left bank of that river to the south-
eastern corner of that portion of Section 39s, Huatoki Settlement,
defined by a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at New
Plymouth and numbered S.O. 8238; thence westerly along the
southern boundary of the said Part Section 39s defined by the afore-
mentioned plan, across Saxton Road and along the southern and
western boundaries of Section 34s to the south-east corner of
Section 32s, Huatoki Settlement; thence westerly along the southern
boundary of the said Section 32s to Carrington Road; thence westerly
by a right line to a point 5 chains south from the north-east corner
of Section 485, Grey District; thence westerly by a right line 5 chains
south and parallel to an unnamed road to the western boundary of
Section 480, Grey District; thence northerly along the western
boundary of the said Section 480 to a point in line with a point
5 chains south from the north-east corner of Part MR 2, Grey Dis-
trict; thence westerly by a right line 5 chains south and parallel
to the northern boundaries of Part MR 2 and Section 477, both of
Grey District, to the boundary between Grey and Omata Districts;
thence northerly along the said district boundary to the southern
boundary of Lot 1 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office
at New Plymouth and numbered 2291, and westerly along that
boundary, across Barrett Road and westerly along the southern
boundary of Part Section 5, Omata District, to the Herekawe Stream,
and down that stream to high-water mark, and generally easterly
along the high-water mark to the point of commencement.

The Auckland Milk Treatment Corporation Regulations 1946,
Amendment No. 1

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Marketing Act, 1936, and the Agriculture
(Emergency Powers) Act, 1934, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth hereby make the following regulations.

REGULATIONS

  1. THESE regulations may be cited as the Auckland Milk Treatment
    Corporation Regulations 1946, Amendment No. 1.
  2. These regulations shall be read together with and form part
    of the Auckland Milk Treatment Corporation Regulations 1946
    (hereinafter referred to as the principal regulations).
  3. Regulation 5 of the principal regulations is amended by
    revoking clause (1) thereof, and substituting the following clause:-
    "(1) The directors first appointed after the commencement of
    these regulations shall hold office for a term of three years commencing
    on the 1st day of March, 1947, but may from time to time be
    reappointed. Except as otherwise provided in these regulations
    every director shall be appointed to hold office for a term of three
    years commencing on the day following the last day of the term of
    office of his predecessor, but may from time to time be reappointed."
