Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Tokarahi Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 4614)

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of March, 1949
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any rabbit district, may, by Order in Council, alter and redefine the boundaries of its district:
And whereas the district known as the Tokarahi Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the said Act:
And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area therein:
And whereas the consent of a majority of the persons in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers' list for the said district has been given to the inclusion of such additional area in the said district:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—
(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid;
(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,
(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE TOKARAHI RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area containing approximately 45,600 acres, more or less, being parts of Awamoko, Maruwenua, and Kauroo Survey Districts, bounded as follows: Commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 14, Block X, Kauroo Survey District, on the Kakanui River; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of the said Section 14 and Section 15 to the western boundary of Block X, Kauroo Survey District; thence northerly along that block boundary and across the road on the southern boundary of Section 48, Block IX, Maruwenua Survey District; thence westerly and northerly along the northern and eastern sides of that road called Smith's Road through Section 48 aforesaid to and across Awamoko Stream; thence continuing northerly along Smith's Road to the town of Livingstone; thence north-westerly along the northern side of David Street and the north-eastern side of the road from Livingstone to the confluence of the north and south branches of the Maruwenua River opposite the western boundary of Section 13, Block IX, Maruwenua Survey District; thence north-easterly down the centre of the main stream of the Maruwenua River to a point opposite the north-east boundary of Section 30, Block VI, Maruwenua Survey District; thence south-easterly along the north-east boundary of the said Section 30 to the Island Cliff–Duntroon Road; thence southerly along the western side of the said Island Cliff–Duntroon Road to a road in Section 33, Block II, Maruwenua Survey District; thence northerly along the eastern side of the said road to Smilie Road; thence easterly along the southern side of Smilie Road to Nicholls Road; thence southerly along the western side of Nicholls Road to Boundary Road; thence easterly along the southern side of Boundary Road to Bobbing Creek Road; thence southerly along the western side of Bobbing Creek Road to the Ngapara Railway-line; thence south-easterly along the western side of that railway-line to the Windsor Township; thence along the northern boundary of that township to Windsor Road; thence south-westerly along the western side of Windsor Road and Post-office Gully Road to Tapui Road; thence westerly along Tapui Road to the Kakanui River; thence up to the northern bank of the Kakanui River in a westerly direction to the point of commencement.

(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid;

(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE WAIRAU RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area of land in the Marlborough Land District, containing approximately 92,600 acres, and bounded as follows: Commencing on the south bank of the Wairau River at the north-eastern corner of Section 13s, Erina Settlement, in Block II, Avon Survey District; thence south-westerly by the south-eastern bank of the said Wairau River to the east bank of the Branch River; thence southerly by the said east bank of the Branch River and the eastern and north-eastern banks of the Leatham River to a point in line with the south boundary of Section 1, Block III, Leatham Survey District: thence generally easterly across a public road to the south boundary of Section 1 aforesaid, and by that boundary and the south boundary of Section 2, Block IV, Leatham Survey District, to the western boundary of Section 13A, Hillersden Settlement, at peg LXII, and by a right line to a peg marked III on the eastern boundary of the said Section 13A; thence generally north-easterly by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 13A, 26A, 29, 30, and 32, and by the south-western boundary of Section 35, all of Hillersden Settlement, to Sweet's Stream, and across that stream; thence northerly by the western boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 729, to Sweet's Saddle in Block XIV, Mount Olympus Survey District; thence generally easterly by the southern boundaries of part Lot 1 and Lot 2, D.P. 732, to Boundary Creek in Block XI, Avon Survey District; thence north-easterly by the western bank of Boundary Creek, the western side of a public road, and the north-western bank of the Marchburn River to the eastern boundary of Section 9AS, Erina Settlement, in Block VII, Avon Survey District; thence northerly by the eastern boundary of Erina Settlement to the point of commencement.

ALL that area of land in the Marlborough Land District, containing approximately 267,850 acres, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the south-west boundary of Run 116 in Block I, Upcot Survey District; thence in a north-easterly direction by the Main Range between the Awatere and Waihopai Rivers to the Avon Saddle at the southern corner of Section 163, Redwood Run, Waihopai Registration District, in Block XII, Spray Survey District; thence northerly by the western boundaries of the said Section 163 and Section 135, Redwood Run aforesaid, to the western boundary of the said Section 135; thence easterly by the northern boundaries of the said Section 135 and Sections 161 and 160, Redwood Run, Waihopai, and Sections 156 and Part 155, Waihopai, to Non Upton Brook at the westernmost corner of Lot 13B, D.P. 664; thence by
