Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 128, set apart by Proclamation
dated the seventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty, and gazetted on the ninth day of that month, are required for
settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of
the said Act, such lands shall, from and after the day of the gazetting
hereof, cease to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject
to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Buller County, containing 340 acres, more or less,
being part of Section 25, Block IV, Waitakere Survey District, and
bounded as follows: Commencing at the south-eastern corner of
Section 5, Block IV aforesaid; towards the north-west by the said
Section 5; towards the north-east by another portion of Section 25
aforesaid and by a road reserve; towards the south-east by part
of Section 26, Block IV aforesaid, and being the other portion of
provisional State forest aforesaid; towards the south-west and west
by another portion of Section 25 aforesaid to the point of commence-
ment. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 10/97/71A, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area in the Buller County, containing by admeasure-
ment 68 acres, more or less, and being Section 8, Block IV, Waitakere
Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked L. and S. 10/97/71, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red. (S.O. plan 7405.)

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the
Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State
forest.


SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Waimea County, con-
taining by admeasurement 493 acres, more or less, and being Sec-
tion 11, Block X, Motupiko Survey District. As the same is more
particularly delineated on plan No. 108/67, deposited in the Head
Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered
red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of March, 1949.

Crown Land Set Apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the
Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State
forest.


SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Waimarino County,
containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, and being
Sections 4 and 5, Ninia Township, situated in Block VI, Karioi
Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on
plan No. 71/27, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest
Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of March, 1949.

State Forest

Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the
Crown land and provisional State forest described in the Schedule
hereto as a permanent State forest.


SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WESTLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL those areas in the Westland Land District, Westland County,
containing by admeasurement 14 acres 0 roods 3·1 perches, more
or less, being Crown land (13 acres 2 roods 34·3 perches) and
provisional State forest (1 rood 8·8 perches), and described generally
as follows:—

All those areas containing 13 acres 2 roods 34·3 perches, more
or less, being Reserve 1911, Block IV, and Reserves 1912, 1913,
1914, 1915, and 1916, Block VIII, Mahinapua Survey District.

Also all that area containing 1 rood 8·8 perches, more or less,
being part of Reserve 1713 (provisional State forest—Gazette, 1930,
page 3124), bounded on the north-east by Adair Road and on the
south-east, south-west, and west by Reserve 1912, Block VIII
aforesaid.

As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No.
125/69, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service
at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of March, 1949.

Revocation of the Reservation of a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto (herein-
after designated the said land) is portion of an area of two
thousand five hundred acres set apart for the purposes of a permanent
State forest by a Proclamation dated the twentieth day of December,
one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine, and published in the
Gazette of the fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred,
at page 5:

And whereas the said land is not now required for the purposes
of a State forest, and it is desirable and expedient that its reservation
for the purpose be revoked:

And whereas, in accordance with the provisions of section nine-
teen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, the Legislative Council and the
House of Representatives have by resolutions passed on the nine-
teenth day of November and the second day of December, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, respectively agreed to the
reservation over the said land being revoked:

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Frey-
berg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by
virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by the Forests Act, 1921–22, do declare that the reservation
over the said land for the purposes of a State forest is hereby revoked.


SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Ohinemuri County,
containing by admeasurement 18 acres 3 roods 5 perches, more or
less, situated in Block IX, Aroha Survey District, being part of
permanent State forest (Gazette, 1900, page 5), and bounded generally
as follows: Towards the north by Section 121, Block IX, Aroha
Survey District; towards the east by permanent State forest
(Gazette, 1900, page 6); towards the south-east by the Borough of
Te Aroha; and towards the west by part of Section 29A and Lots 5
and 4 of Section 28, all of Block IX aforesaid. As the same is more
particularly delineated on plan No. 26/44, deposited in the Head
Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red. (Auckland plan S.O. 33748.)

of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of March, 1949.
