Crown Land Set Apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

B Y virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Buller County, containing by admeasurement 76 acres, more or less, and being Section 38, Block XV, Oparara Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 101/12, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Nelson S.O. Plan 7833.)

Revoking the Reservation Over Portion of a Scenic Reserve in Block XXI, Invercargill Hundred, Southland Land District

A PROCLAMATION

W HEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for scenic purposes :
And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the absence of bush of scenic value thereon :
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 20 acres 3 roods 5 perches, more or less, being part Lot 2, and being part Section 11, Block XXI, Invercargill Hundred, and bounded as follows : Towards the north by parts of Section 6, 1898·6 links ; towards the east by Lot 1, D.P. 2433, Southland Land Registry, 1094·6 links ; towards the south by other part of Lot 2 of Section 11, 1899·1 links ; towards the west by part Section 15, 1094·6 links : be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/244B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. plan 5820.)

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

W HEREAS by Order in Council dated the tenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty, and published in the Gazette of the eighteenth day of the same month at page 733, the Island Bay (Birkdale) Progressive League (Incorporated), was licensed to occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Island Bay (Birkdale), Auckland Harbour; as a site for a wharf :
And whereas it is desirable to revoke the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Harbours Act, 1923, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council of the tenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty, as from the date hereof.
