ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of
February, 1948
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of
road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date
of this Order in Council, become Government road.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE areas of the portions of road declared to be
Government road :—

Revoking the Declaration of a Main Highway

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 28th day of
January, 1948
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in him by section three of the Main Highways Act, 1922, and
of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that on and after the
second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven,
the main highway described in the First Schedule hereto shall cease
to be a main highway within the meaning and for the purposes of
the Main Highways Act, 1922.
FIRST SCHEDULE
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 2A
Mount Albert - Royal Oak.—All that main highway in the
Eden County, declared as the Mount Albert - Royal Oak Main
Highway, described in Order in Council dated 2nd April, 1928, and
published in the Gazette of 5th April, 1928.

Revocation of Order in Council exempting the Office of the Solicitor-General from the Public Service Superannuation Act, 1927

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 11th day of
February, 1948
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in
him by section fifty-three of the Public Service Superannuation
Act, 1927, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in
this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
revoke the Order in Council made on the second day of August,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the
Gazette on the fifth day of the same month, at page 2334, by virtue
of which the office of Solicitor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand ceased to be subject to Part II of the Public Service Classification and Superannuation Act, 1908, now replaced by Part I of
the Public Service Superannuation Act, 1927.

Pursuant to section sixty-three of the Maori Purposes Act,
1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
revoke the Order in Council referred to in Part I of the Schedule
hereto, in so far as it affects the land mentioned in Part II of the
said Schedule.

Pursuant to section five of the Maori Purposes Act, 1937,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart
and reserve the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule
hereto as a Maori reservation for the common use of the members
of the Ngatiporou Tribe as a meeting place and cemetery reserve.

Maori Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
doth hereby vary an Order in Council made on the fourth day of
April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published in
the Gazette on the seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred
and thirty-two, at page 735, and affecting Hauturu East B 2
Section 2A la and other blocks by excluding therefrom the lands
described in the Schedule hereto.
